The chilly air touches my skin as Felix leans over to turn off the water. "Please wait here." He says this while planting a kiss on my lips before exiting the shower and returning with two towels. I smile at him as he drapes my towel around my body before wrapping his around his waist. "How do you feel?" He stares at me with concern in his eyes as he asks.

I smile at the blonde, "I feel great, how about you?" My smile widens as we exit the shower together and stand in front of the mirror, his head resting on my shoulder.

"Amazing." He kisses my cheek and gently pulls the hair tie out of my hair, allowing the damp, unkempt hair to cascade over my shoulders. Felix reaches into the cabinet and pulls out a hairdryer, plugging it in and turning it on while combing my hair. I start blushing at his kind offerings since I didn't even have to ask; he's taking care of me precisely how I'd like him to.

I stare at his reflection in the mirror; he appears ethereal as his hair drys out naturally and his freckles sparkle in the bathroom light. His lips are slightly parted as he focuses on drying my hair, taking care not to tangle it.

"Thank you." I say it again, moving my head to his and kissing his lips softly.

Felix kisses my lips and shuts off the hair dryer. "You don't need to thank me; I just want you to feel safe and loved."

I smile at him and run my fingers through my hair, noting how almost completely dry it is and how there appear to be no knots; he really was taking his time.

"Should we head back to your room now?" I question as I pick up our clothes from the floor. Felix nods in answer, and we return to his room. I don't want to sleep nude next to him, so I put on my huge t-shirt and underwear from earlier, while Felix puts on his boxers. I get onto the bed and put my hands out in a grabbing manner, waiting for Felix to join me. He shuffles under the blankets, and I bring him onto my chest, stroking his hair as he settles against me. His arms slide around my waist and tighten around me, kissing my face and making me laugh at how adorable he is.

"You're so cute!" I exclaim as Felix nuzzles his head on my shoulder and I continue to play with his hair, softly massaging it.

"How should we spend tomorrow?" Felix wonders with his eyes closed.

"My father will be working late tomorrow, so we'll have the entire day to hang out." I respond, struggling to stay up as well.

"Perhaps we could go swimming..."

"Swimming? It's really cold outside!" I shout, laughing at his absurd proposal.

"There are heated pools located behind the village! I'm not that stupid." Felix laughs, and I laugh with him.

"Well then, that sounds lovely."

It doesn't take us long before we finally fall asleep, around two in the morning and I don't regret anything, even though we will probably wake up very late, I'm just happy that Felix is back to his happy, cuddly self.

I'm awakened by the sound of knocking, but not lightly; it's as if someone is slamming their fist against the door in rage. As the sound becomes louder, I jump awake and glance to my side to see Felix still sleeping blissfully.

"Felix, wake up!" I whisper loudly into his ear. As the pounding continues, I get increasingly terrified, jumping with each sound.  When he hears the knocking, Felix slowly awakens before jolting upright. "Stay here." He whispers to me as he pulls a shirt over his head and pulls up his shorts. As Felix walks out the door, I stay in bed, covering myself as much as I can.

"Mr Scarlet?" His voice says, and I grab my clothing, hastily changing before heading out.

When I enter into the main entrance, I find my father standing at the door with a disgusted and angry expression on his face. "Keep your fucking hands off of my daughter!" He yells, pointing his finger at Felix, and walks into the cabin.

"Dad! What are you doing?" Standing between them, I yell.

"Audrey, you left the cabin at one o'clock in the morning! Staying at River's Edge was not an opportunity for you to hook up-"

"She couldn't sleep and wanted company, so I invited her to spend the night here." Felix butts in, trying to be as courteous as possible. I feel terrible for Felix and I'm even more disgusted at my dad.

"Do not however cut me off! I know what all you boys want from my Audrey, and you're not getting it." My father yells at Felix harsher, and tears fill up in my eyes. My dad being hostile was precisely what I didn't want to happen.

My father grabs my hand and starts to go out the door, but I tug it back and stand besides Felix, now sobbing and feeling terrible for him. "I'll be staying here! I didn't come here to be screamed at; I came here to spend time with my father."

To soothe me, Felix throws his arm loosely around my waist and softly massages up and down my back. "I understand your concern for your daughter, but she's secure here, and it should be her choice where she goes." Felix speaks out, surprising my father with his calm comments.

"She isn't safe-"

"I am safe! Felix has always protected and cared for me more than you ever have!' I say this as I gather my strength before slamming the front door in my father's face and locking him outside. I rush to Felix and bury my face in his chest while he attempts to soothe me by caressing my hair and massage my back.

"I thought he was changing F-Felix, I really t-thought." I whimper, letting out all my emotions for Felix to see.

"It's going to be okay. I get that he's worried about you, he will come around eventually." His voice soothes me as he places gentle kisses on the top of my head. "Why don't we just enjoy our day and then we can sort this stuff out later? He continues.

I nod in response. As hard as it is to ignore my fathers behaviour this morning, I do need to focus on myself and what I want, not what my dad wants. Felix beams me a smile and rubs my cheeks with his hands as he speaks, "I'll always be here for you."

Felix seems to know what to say at the right times as I wipe the tears from my eyes and return him a smile. I know we've only had one really intimate moment with one other, but given what we're both going through, I believe it will be the most unforgettable moment for both of us.

I had to borrow a pair of sweatpants and a warm sweater from Felix since I didn't want to return to my father's cabin, even though he had already departed for work. The sweater is pastel yellow and clearly oversized on both of our bodies with a sewn in flower on the front of it. I love his taste in fashion as I can just wear his clothes if I run out, and they will fit me. Felix informed me that these are private pools with no surveillance cameras, so I decided to use my underwear as bathing suits because they are essentially the same thing. Felix holds my hand in his as we walk towards his car, settling into our seats before starting the small drive.
