The early morning sun shines through Harley's bedroom window, blinding my eyes. I roll over to look at Harley's alarm clock, which reads '6:32AM.' I must have fainted on the way here. Harley isn't in his usual spot, so I get out of bed and go to the bathroom. My appearance surprised me at first because I have birds nest hair and a punk emo band makeup look. I quickly brush my hair with Harley's hair brush and wash my face with water before changing into one of Harley's shirts that hangs just above my knees while still wearing my underwear underneath. I nod to myself in the bathroom mirror before walking out of the bedroom to find Harley.

One room after another and he is no where to be found. I decide to call his cell phone in the hopes that he will answer, and when I hear his sweet voice over the phone, I breathe a sigh of relief. "Is everything all right, baby?" He asks, clearly hearing my worried breath.

"Where have you gone?"

"I returned to Cole's to help with cleanup; I'll be home in a few hours." He murmurs.

The apartment must be full of sleeping bodies, which explains his whispering.

I hang up the phone and consider ordering food for breakfast because my head is pounding and I'm not in the mood to cook. As I start scrolling through my phone for possible options, the doorbell rings, which is unusual given the time.

"Just a second!" I call out and consider grabbing pants, but decide against it because the shirt is a little long and whoever is at the door is most likely just delivering a package. I reach for the doorknob and my gaze is drawn to two policewomen.

"Are you Miss Scarlet, correct?" The blonde officer inquires.

"Can I help you?"

"We're looking for Harley Summers in connection with Finn Jackson." The brunette responds in a solemn tone.

"What do you want from Harley, shouldn't you want to talk to me?"

"We'll talk to you, but Finn told us Harley physically abused him, is that correct?"

Finn has crossed the line, and I can feel my blood boiling. "To keep me safe!" I shout.

"We will still need to question him, do you know when he will be back?" One asks.

"I can call him, but I'm telling you that Harley didn't do anything wrong." I snapped.

I step aside and let the women in, showing them the couch while I change into more appropriate clothing and call Harley.

"Harley, you need to come home right now; there are cops here who want to speak with you." With trembling voice, I say.

"All right, I'm on my way." He stammers and then hangs up the phone.

I return to the living room and offer the cops some coffee or tea, but I can't help but feel worried as the familiar cage of butterflies swarms my stomach. I'm sitting in an armchair across from the officers, tapping my foot on the floor repeatedly.

"While we wait, we need to know about your actions against Mr. Jackson, including whether or not you intend to press charges." The brunette tells me.

"I'm still debating, but Harley isn't going to get in trouble, right? He was guarding me." I yelled.

"He will not be arrested," the blonde officer says, "but it can be used against you if you press charges against Finn."

"Those are two completely different types of assault, it's unfair," I scream.

Just as I was about to continue arguing and possibly getting into trouble, the door opens and I leap into Harley's arms.

"Mr Summers, may we speak with you?" Before continuing, one lady looks at me. "In private."

"Of course, we'll go outside." He responds politely and assists the officers outside, while I stay inside, concerned about the outcome.

Minutes feel like hours as I wait for them to return, I decide to distract myself by calling Kiki, hoping she is awake given how early it is.

She says quietly after three dials, "Hello? It's very early."

"I understand; I just n-need to talk to someone." I stammer.

On the other end of the line, I hear muffling, and then her voice comes through clearly. "Is everything all right?"

"I believe so; Harley is currently being questioned by police; it's a long story." When I respond, I hear another distinct voice on the other end of the line. "Who is that, Kiki?"

"Syd here. I went back to his house after you and Harley had left. Is everything going to be all right, though?"

I grin, knowing that my plan was successful. "It should be. Now tell me everything about your night with Syd."

Kiki goes on to say that they sobered up before returning to Syd's and ended up getting to know each other a lot before sleeping together. Kiki, being Kiki, likes to go into excessive detail, so I had to cut her off several times and just take her word for it.

As we finish our conversation, I hear the front door close, so I end the call and exit my room without saying goodbye to Kiki.

"What happened?" I immediately investigate, trying to read his expression for answers.

"I only got a warning because I was protecting you. However, you must file charges against Finn; otherwise, he will be free to roam the streets."

"I understand; I just don't want to hurt Cole." I sigh and lean in for a hug from Harley. His arms envelop me, and I creep onto my tiptoes to kiss him. He grins against my lips before kissing me again, more passionately. It's nice to be with him without any arguments, just like any other couple.

"Still can't believe you said Felix was a better kisser." Harley smirks as he rolls his eyes.

"Well then you're going to have to do better." I reply with attitude and watch as Harley's eyebrows raise in shock.

"I'll show you better." He states.
