Mondays are the most dreadful day of the week. I can't help but feel anxious throughout my morning routine, and Harley is quick to notice.

"Today will be a good day; I believe you've been assigned to my friend Felix, who teaches dance." Harley begins to try to distract me.

"Dance? What kind of dance?" I ask, trying not to laugh because I can't imagine someone named Felix doing ballet.

"He's primarily a hip-hop artist, and he's extremely talented." He responds by taking his car keys from the kitchen counter.

"Thank you, God." I laugh as we exit the front door.

Harley parks in his usual spot outside the main office and I spot Cole standing outside with his arms folded. His arms were slightly larger than usual, 'Has he been working out?' My subconscious wonders. As I walk up to him, I snap out of my thoughts, and Cole extends his arms for a hug.

"I miss you; it feels like you've been gone for a long time." He says, hugging me even tighter, and I reciprocate.

"It was only the weekend, Cole; I promise I'll be back tonight."

I turn around to see Harley gone; he must have gone inside without saying goodbye. I return my gaze to Cole, and he notices my eyes wondering where Harley has gone.

"He needs to meet with a student, which is why he took off."

"Oh."

I follow Cole as he leads me to the performing arts building. We enter the dance area and Cole begins knocking on each door, hoping Felix will open one of them.

"Felix!" Cole yells as he bangs on the doors, trying to make as much noise as he can to overwrite the loud music blaring from each room. A tanned boy finally opens the door.

"Hello Felix, this is Audrey, who will be with you today." Cole begins by pointing to me. I walk forwards awkwardly and reach for a handshake, but Felix rejects it and pulls me into a hug. I can't see Felix' features because there are no lights in the hallway; all I can see is that he is tall and has beautifully tanned skin.

"Nice to meet you, Audrey; my name is Felix." He says and I return his greeting before we enter the dance studio, waving goodbye to Cole. I adjust to the bright lights and take in the size of the room, which has an entire wall covered in one large mirror, speakers in every ceiling corner, and colour changing lights. I look over to Felix and realise the man I just hugged is stunning. He has beautiful sandy blonde hair that is parted in the middle, freckles all over his face, brown eyes, and a goofy smile that can immediately make you warm.

I feel guilty for finding him so appealing, but I shouldn't because Harley and I aren't a thing, right?

"Did you previously work at a dance studio?" He inquires, and I realise how thick his Australian accent is; how did I miss it before?

"Yeah, I taught hip-hop," I say, and his mouth widens into a grin, revealing his adorable dimples.

"Perfect, I'd like to teach you a dance this morning, and we'll both teach it to my class later."

I nod, and he walks over to the back wall, where his phone is, and starts playing music. He then walks to the centre of the room and begins to perform; his talent astounded me. I sit in a room corner and watch him dance.

"Wow." I try to whisper but realise I've been too loud.

He keeps staring at himself in the mirror and occasionally smiles at me.

"How am I supposed to learn that?" I enquire as I applaud him.

"As a teacher, you should know that learning is simple." He bows and walks back towards me, sitting next to me.

"The dance seems simple enough, but your performance is incredible." I compliment Felix and notice him blushing. I'm hoping I'm not sending him mixed signals because I already did with Harley and don't want to fall head over heels for another guy I just met.

"You're dating Harley, right?" Felix cocks his head to the side, almost as if he's reading my mind.

"We aren't dating; we are..."

"Complicated?"

"I suppose you could say that." Looking down at the laminated floor beneath me, I say.

As he picks both my hands and stands me up, he walks me to the centre of the room, quickly changing the subject. His hands are tiny in comparison to Harley's, so I tilt my head in admiration.

Felix starts teaching me the dance, and things were going well until a spin near the end that I just couldn't get the hang of. It required me to spin in place and crouch to the floor with such force that I lost my balance every time.

Every time we practiced, Felix noticed my struggle. "Would you like me to assist you?"

"Yes, please; I'm terrible at balancing." I admit, and he keeps my waist steady. His grip forced me to put all of my trust in him, and he spun me around while maintaining my posture and bending down with me into the squat.

"It's your posture; just keep your head up." He continues, and we try again, this time with one of his hands holding mine.

Just as we were about to make our third attempt, the door slams open, revealing Harley's stunning figure.

"W-what's going on in here?" He looks between Felix and me, our hands still intertwined, and he has his hand on my lower back.

"I'm teaching her a dance, and we're working on her balance right now." Felix appears to be completely unaware that Harley is clearly envious.

"Is it necessary to hold her like that?" Harley scoffs and makes direct eye contact with Felix.

Felix ignores his words and releases me. "Why don't we take a break and meet here in 30 minutes?"

"Sure." I smile and he pulls me into a hug before Harley pulls my arm and leads me back out the door into the dark hallway.
