We return to my cabin, Felix trailing after me as I walk up to the front door and softly knock. I feel a surge of fear sweep over me, and I brace myself for the unpleasantness of meeting my father. It's impossible to foresee how he'll respond; he'll either pretend nothing occurred or continue to be angry with Felix for no reason.

The door creaks open with a single knock, and my father stands at the door, his face downcast.

"I'm very sorry, both of you. I'll try better." He speaks as he steps out of the way, allowing Felix and I to pass. As we enter, our sight is drawn to the kitchen, where three bowls are arranged on the counter as well as a large lychee soda bottle.

"Where did you find this?" I shout, rush to the kitchen, grab the bottle, and show Felix.

"I had to keep one I bought long ago before they discontinued." My father smiles as he delivers Felix his bowl as well as mine. I take three glasses and lead the way to the living area, Felix and I sharing a giant armchair while my father has his own.

"This is very delicious-" Felix begins but is interrupted.

"I apologise for shouting at you. That was not my right."

"Don't worry, I understand." Felix responds with a smile before taking another bite of his donburi.

"I like you Felix; you're a great guy. You're somebody my daughter needs in her life." My father smiles back . I stare between them, experiencing Felix's tenseness as he can't determine if my father is serious or not.

"T-thank you so much, sir." He responds and continues to eat to avoid anymore awkward conversation.

I finish the last bite before asking my father, "Can Felix then spend the night here?" Because you're still working, I only get to see you in the evenings or on weekends."

Felix stares at me with fear in his eyes, imploring me to remove the question from my lips with his gaze as my father goes up to the kitchen and lays his bowl down. "Of course he can, but on the weekend I have something planned for us." My dad answers, washing his bowl under the sink.

I look beside me and see Felix letting out a sigh of relief. I giggle to myself before taking both of our bowls up. "Why don't you get settled into bed, I'll meet you there soon." I whisper to Felix.

He nods and walks off, disappearing into my bedroom. I step up besides my father, assisting him with the dishes. "I'm sorry for hurting you earlier, dear." My dad turns his head to me, his eyes filled with regret.

"It's okay, I know it's hard for you to trust anyone."

"I don't want anyone treating you like we used to."

I wipe a tear that had fallen down my cheek, "No one will hurt me, he already did." I murmur and kiss my dad's temple.

"Good night sweetheart, and keep your door open." He chuckles to himself as I walk away.

I enter my bedroom and discover Felix fast asleep in the centre of the bed. He's shirtless, his hair strewn across his brow, and his mouth slightly open. I turn the lamp off and approach closer to the bed, smiling at his expression. The area is now completely black, with the only light coming from the kitchen around the corner.

I put my arm around Felix's waist before bringing my hand to his face, where I gently sweep his locks out of his eyes. I continue to stare at his beauty before shifting asleep where I remain close to his body.

I open my eyes to a rainy Friday morning, the rain must have woken me up. Felix shot up once the sound of crackling thunder shook the house. It's unusual for the weather to be like this, considering the snowstorms we have had, but rainy days are also my favourite.

"Shit." I whisper under my breath as I look at my phone. I have several text messages from Cole as well as a few phone calls.

Hello?

Why aren't neither of you answering your phone?

Tell Felix to answer.

ANSWER.

Did you guys sleep together?

HOLY SHIT, YOU DID?

I chuckle as I show Felix the messages, he laughs and nods at me, gesturing for me to call him back.

"Oh my fucking god, it's about time you respond. Did you guys-"

"Yes Cole, can you calm down now?" I cut him off. After speaking, I hear a high pitched squeal coming from the phone, sometimes Cole can act like a complete child.

"I knew it! Was it good? Are you guys dating? What did you guys do? Just sex?"

Coles questions really felt like someone was drilling into my brain and I pictured myself slapping the boy for his stupid questions.

"I'll tell you everything later, I'm with Felix now." I say and Cole gasps.

"You dirty little whore." His voice says and I laugh at his comment.

"Oh my god, will you just shut up."

I hang up and rest my phone on the nightstand, muting my notifications as I know it won't end.

"Wow, Cole really does not shut up does he?" Felix laughs besides me before grabbing ahold of my waist and shifting my body closer to his. I turn my head to face his, our faces only inches apart as I look in his eyes and then down to his pink plump lips, unconsciously licking mine as I glance. I lean my head closer and place a soft kiss onto his lips before standing up and walking into the living room.

"Is your dad at work?" Felix questions from behind me, pulling his shirt over his body.

"Yeah he is, we have the entire day for ourselves." I reply walking up to the boy and wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Sweet." Felix replies, kissing the tip of my nose. "I might call Cole then and fill him in on everything."

"Thank god I don't have to." I laugh and watch as Felix disappears back into the bedroom, closing the door halfway. I decide to contact Kiki since I bet we both have a lot to tell each other.

"Hey Kiki, how are you?" I say once she answers.

"I'm doing great! I haven't really left Syd's place much, I think the boys are getting sick of me now." She jokes, laughing as I hear Syd's laughter is the background. "How are you holding up though, you must be going through a lot." She asks, her tone changing completely.

"Yeah, I'm actually doing okay. My dad is definitely making an effort and He's been super friendly and welcoming to Felix."

"That's great to hear." She replies and before asking me, "Have you been with Felix much? I've heard a lot about him and was informed he is staying at the same village as you."

Before replying, I think if I should mention Felix and I sleeping together since I can still hear Syd and Jesse in the background of our call. "Yeah, we have just been hanging out while my dad works, he's been good company."

That answer should satisfy her, right?
