Christmas rolled around rather fast. Snow was already falling at a furious rate, blanketing the streets in a layer of sleet. The temperature was chilly in town, and our apartment felt like it was in Antarctica owing to the faulty heaters. I eventually bought Cole and I a heated blanket, which worked well until the air above the sheets beat the heat trying to warm our bodies.

It was Christmas morning. Cole and I spent the morning getting ready and gathering the several gifts we acquired for the group, which we packed into the car. Everyone agreed to celebrate Christmas at Hayden and Syd's apartment because it had the greatest space for all of us and their gifts were too large to take to someone else's house. Everyone was allowed to bring their partners, meaning this was my first time meeting Chris' wife and Jesse's girlfriend.

Hayden has Luke, Syd has Kiki, and I have Felix. That leaves Harley and Cole on their own, and despite my encouragement for Cole to bring the lady he's been seeing, he just refused, stating it wasn't proper to take such a major step.

I didn't feel worried about Harley at all, and he didn't even enter my mind all morning. I'm sure that will change once we meet, but in the meantime, my emphasis is on the people I genuinely live and care about.

Cole and I were the last to arrive, with Felix eagerly waiting outside Hayden and Syd's apartment. I rush over to Felix, wrapping a loving grip around him since he was definitely shaking, teeth shuddering and his nose and cheeks were stained a deep red from the cold. His chilly hands return the hug, and I wince as his hands slide beneath my sweatshirt, utilising my body heat to warm him up. The boy stops shaking and assists Cole in carrying the various gifts and food we brought over, including a gift for Harley.

Everyone is sitting in the huge living room after stumbling into the large apartment, with everyone managing to find a space on the large u-shaped sofa positioned in the centre of the living room. Cole and Felix take all the presents to the Christmas tree and try to squeeze them all in, despite the fact that there are already over thirty presents waiting to be opened.

I enter into the kitchen and place the food I brought on the counter, not realising that everyone else had brought food ranging from savoury to sweet.

"Merry Christmas!" Hayden shouts and hugs both Cole and I into a group hug once we make it to the living room. I glance around at everyone, spotting three women I am yet to greet.

A tall thin blonde stands up and reaches her hand out for a handshake while beaming a welcoming smile towards me. I extend my hand to hers, shooting her a friendly grin back while also noticing the ring on her finger, indicating she is Chris' wife. "Nice to finally meet you! I'm Juli, Chris' wife."

"I'm Audrey." I greet back before turning to the next girl.

She is seated next to Jesse, her long brown hair draping over her shoulder as she stands up. "I'm Rose, Jesse's girlfriend. It's a pleasure to meet you." The brunette smiles and sits back down.

This leaves the last woman who I go to greet but then realise she's sitting next to Harley, a little too close which makes me believe he brought her. "I'm Angel, Harley's girlfriend." The girl says sternly, her greeting coming off slightly rude and forced.

Before I turn to the boy seated next to her, I take in her appearance which almost makes me gag. Her perfectly straightened blonde hair is the only good thing about her as her eyebrows are tinted almost black, not even attempting to blend them in to look natural. Her skin is clearly tanned an orange shade rather than a gorgeous brown and her lips are the worst hot pink shade ever to see the light of day.

I quickly glance to Harley whose hand is wrapped around the blondes waist, almost cringing to himself as he pulls her closer to him. That's when I internally laugh to myself thinking, 'He brought her here to make me jealous.'

While Felix and Cole greet Harleys 'new' girl, I take a seat on the side of the couch that faces opposite the couple, leaving room on either side of me for the two boys. The sudden urge builds inside me to make Harley jealous as well, using Felix to do so, but I pull myself from the childish act and realise I could never use Felix like that.

The boys take their seat either side of me and Luke and Hayden stand up, handing everyone a glass of champagne before they place themselves in the middle of the living room, having everyone on the couch circling them.

"Merry Christmas to you all and thank you for coming!" Hayden shouts before Luke continues.

"Cheers!"

With that, everyone's glasses clink in the centre, taking a brief sip before Syd gets up and proceeds towards the Christmas tree with Kiki.

"Shall we do presents?" Kiki inquires and everyone nods their heads before Syd explains the process.

"We will hand everyone their presents and then go around clockwise to open one at a time."

The pair start handing out presents to everyone, carefully reading the names before handing it to the desired person. By the time they are done handing out the gifts, everyone seems to have around 3-8 each, some already discussing what they received.

I glance down at the gifts I'm holding, one from Cole, one from Kiki, and one that looks to be from the entire group of boys.

Felix notices me looking at the different gifts and whispers into my ear, "You're gift is at my place, we can go there after the party."

I glance up at the boy as he winks in my direction, causing a warm blush to creep on my cheeks at the 'present' awaiting me at his place.

"Well technically there's two gifts." He adds, chuckling softly to himself.

I smile at him and Kiki places the final gift in my lap with a concerning expression. I pick up the present, recognising the handwriting displayed where my name is written and I scan the tag and notice who it is from.

Harley.
