"Please tell me more about yourself. Why are you so close to Cole?" Harley asked while poking his tongue out to take a bite of his sandwich. Every bite he took he would squint his eyes shut which looked adorable.

"Cole and I have known each other since we were babies because our parents knew each other." I start. "We'd always wanted to live together, so as soon as I graduated from university, I headed straight for Mountain Waters so I could live with Cole and work at the same school as him."

"It must be wonderful to have someone with you for the rest of your life." Harley rasps and eats his sandwich.

"Let me take you back to the studio." As I take the last bite of my sandwich, Harley extends his hand for mine.

I nod as we exit the building and return to the dance studio. Harley doesn't let go of my hand the entire journey, causing students and other teachers to stare as we pass by. 'I hope this is legal,' I think to myself, as it feels strangely illegal.

After a few hard knocks on the soundproof door, it finally opens, revealing Felix's bright freckly face.

"You've returned!" He smiles and wraps his arms around my shoulders, encircling me in a hug. I won't lie, his hugs are extremely warm and comforting.

When I look at Harley, I notice he is somewhat angry but trying to hide it with a fake smile. He's not really that envious, is he?

"Then I'll see you tomorrow." He says this before kissing my lips softly. As Harley's tongue brushed against mine, Felix was just as surprised as I was.

Harley walks away, clearly trying to make poor Felix jealous, but I honestly believe Felix couldn't care less. I walk into the room, brushing my thoughts aside, and place my phone on the table in the far corner, where Felix begins to play the same song as before. We both jump into position and start dancing; he was impressed at how well I remembered the dance as I executed the spin perfectly.

"Wow, were you practising during lunch?" His eyes widen as he inquires.

"I was in my head. I remember you telling me about my posture." Before hearing the bell ring, I say and continue the last part of the dance.

Felix dashes over and turns off the music. "The dancers should arrive in about 10 minutes; they are usually late." He says this and decides to take a seat in the middle of the room on the floor. I take a seat besides him.

"You lied to me before." He says this abruptly.

I turn to face him, stunned. "Lied? About what?"

"You and Harley." Felix says squinting his eyes at me as if I was playing dumb.

"I didn't lie; we're not dating, and things are still... complicated." I say, returning my gaze to the ground and fiddling with my fingers.

"I'm sorry." Felix apologises.

"Sorry for what?"

"For making you uncomfortable I-"

"You didn't, it's okay." I cut him off, reassuring him.

He smiles at me before standing up and walking towards the door, where the sound of children was becoming increasingly loud. Felix opens the door, and the dancers rush through it, causing the ground to shake.

"Greetings, greetings." He begins. "Today, Miss Scarlet is here to assist me in teaching you the new hip hop dance routine."

As Felix and I perform the dance, the dancers immediately begin warming up. However, he decides to switch the choreography's final pose from us standing side by side to him standing behind me and holding my waist. I don't know how to react or what to do, so I just go with it.

While the dancers began to run through the song, it became the ideal time to pull Felix aside and discuss his sudden changes.

"Did you forget the choreography's final pose?" I realise how stupid I sound, but it was impossible to forget standing still.

"No, I think the dancers would have preferred it if I changed it up." As he observes the students, he chuckles and folds his arms across his chest.

"Left leg, not right leg, Stacy." He corrects a specific girl who was constantly messing up the choreography; she looked embarrassed because she had been called out in front of everyone. Felix noticed this and continued right away. "You're doing a fantastic job today; everyone has at least made a mistake."

Stacy's face brightens as she grows more confident with each step. That Felix is that type of person that makes me happy. Despite the fact that he is a dance instructor and is supposed to be strict, he always delivered every word with such calmness and happiness.

"You'd make an excellent father." I spit it out. My face flushes as I realise what I've just said in front of the entire class. Fortunately, no one heard except Felix.

"I appreciate it very much." He smiles, trying to hide his flushed cheeks.

The end of the day came far too quickly as I returned home with Cole, who barely spoke during the drive.

"Are we all right?" I enquire while we step into our apartment.

"Yeah, I'm just afraid you'll start abandoning me for Harley." He admits while putting his bags on the living room couch.

"I'd never do something like that to you, you're my best friend." I defend myself and lean in to hug him. It was our hug when he wrapped his arms around my waist and nuzzled his head into my neck.

"I saw you with Felix today; isn't he lovely?" Cole says this while walking away and propping himself up on our couch.

"He is! I wanted to cuddle him like a baby." Cole nods in agreement as I crack a joke. "You know Harley is jealous of him?"

"Harley? Jealous of Felix?" Cole stands up and faces me, unable to believe what he is hearing.

"Yeah, he kissed me right in front of Felix, as if to warn him or something." While speaking, I roll my eyes and notice Cole's expression changing.

"I believe Harley likes you."

"What do you mean?" I cock my head.

"This is why Finn and I never liked him because of how he treated women, but I believe you're changing that." Cole's expression brightens.

The inquisitive side of me still wants to know about Harley's previous relationship, but I think I'll wait until he tells me. My mind wanders and wonders if he was abusive, but I can't imagine Harley being like that; he's been nice to me since day one. I want to ask so many questions.
