I shuffled in my bag looking for something, anything to keep me occupied. There was no way I was gonna spend another night alone with my thoughts. I had justwoken up from a nightmare and I wouldn't be getting back to sleep anytime soon.

I could draw something, but it's to dark or I could write something, eww no cringe. I could go for a walk, ...and risk getting possessed by a tree spirit no way. I sighed softly. Thoughts it is.

Then out of the blue I heard a voice "Let's go, Appa! Come on, boy!" Appa roars in protest. I get up and see that Aang's sleeping mat is empty I walk to the door leading outside to see Aang patting Appa's head softly.

"Look I'm sorry, but the others aren't coming to the Fire Nation with us. If they got hurt, ...I'd never forgive myself." Aang says I rush over to Sokka in his sleeping bag

"Sokka wake up Aang's trying to leave without us." I say while shaking him.

"Uhhgg what?" He yawns tiredly. Why did I even go to him first.

"Sokka wake up now" I say quickly as I move to Katara's side.

"Uhh then let him go."  I hear Sokka mumble, pulling his cover over his head.

Unlike her brother Katara got up instantly ready for anything "What's Wrong?" she asked.

"Aang's leavening to the fire nation, we need to stop him." I whisper.

Katara sprung up. "Sokka get up." she said nudging him with her foot.

"So get your big butt off the ground and let's go!" Aang shouted right as we walked out.

"I think his big butt is trying to tell ya something." Sokka said with a yawn.

"Please don't go Aang. The world can't afford to lose you to the Fire Nation. Neither can I." Katara pleaded. It looked like Aang was thinking hard.

"But I have to talk to Avatar Roku to find out what my vision means! I need to get to the Fire Temple before the sun sets on the solstice. That's today!" Aang said.

"We're not letting you go into the Fire Nation, Aang." Katara said sternly.

"At least, not alone." I add on.

"We got your back." Sokka stated, just then Appa licks Sokka, he looks at the bison In disgust "Ew!"

"Hurry up Sokka you can kiss Appa later." I smirk hopping on to Appa.

"I didn't kiss Appa." Sokka said annoyed. "Appa kissed me." Sokka said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"It's a long journey to the Crescent Island." The Chief of the village said. where did he come from.

He hands Aang a small bundle of supplies. "You'll have to fly fast to have any chance of making it before sundown. Good luck." He finished.

"Thank you for your-" Aang started but was interrupted "Go!" the chief commanded. Appa takes off and we're on our way.

The day had come we had made it to the fire nation border. Appa soared over the ocean. We all looked over the edge of the saddle looking at the waves underneath. But Appa was going slower than usual.

"Come on boy, we've got a long way to go. Go Faster!" Aang pleaded with the bison.

"Maybe he's just tired he's been carrying us for hours." I reasoned petting the side of Appa.
