Song ~ Black out days

I'm looking over Appa's saddle, scanning the snowy landscape for any sign of where Zuko could have taken Aang.

Katara sat with her head in her hands. "I can't believe I lost him," she said, clenching her fists. She was being too hard on herself, and it pained me to see her like this.

"Don't worry, Prince Zuko can't have gone far in this weather," Yue comforted her.

Katara let out a sigh. "I'm not worried about them getting away in the blizzard. I'm worried they won't." Her tone was cold. Honestly, the weather was harsh, and I was already freezing despite having the right clothes on.

I just hope Aang isn't frozen to death somewhere. "They're not going to die in this blizzard," Sokka reassured me as if reading my mind. "If we know anything, it's that Zuko never gives up. They'll survive, and we'll find them." He was right. Zuko never gives up. I might not fully understand why he wants Aang so badly, but up until now, he's done everything in his power to capture him. I don't think he'll let the cold stop him.

I'm hugging myself tightly when I notice a blue light shoot up above us. "Look! That has to be Aang," I say, pointing at the light.

"Yip yip, Appa!" Katara yells. We fly toward the light until we spot something crawling out of a cave. As we get closer, I see Aang tied up in ropes, with Zuko trailing behind him.

Katara lands Appa and quickly faces Zuko. "Here for a rematch?" Zuko growls, throwing Aang to the side.

"Trust me, Zuko, it's not going to be much of a match," Katara says as she uses her water bending to launch Zuko into the air, then slams him back down into the snow, knocking him out cold.

I quickly hop off Appa to untie Aang, tossing the ropes into the saddle. "Hey, this is some quality rope!" Sokka says. I roll my eyes—only he could be excited about rope at a time like this.

"We need to get to the oasis; the spirits are in trouble!" Aang blurts out. I glance at Zuko, knowing he won't make it through the storm in his condition. Then I look at Aang, who's already staring at me with the same concern in his eyes.

"Wait, we can't just leave him here," Aang says, motioning toward Zuko.

Sokka chuckles. "Sure we can. Let's go."

"No, if we leave him, he'll die," Aang insists, using airbending to lift Zuko onto Appa's saddle. I get back on, sitting next to Zuko.

"Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Let's bring along the guy who's constantly trying to kill us," Sokka mutters loud enough for everyone to hear.

We're getting closer to the Spirit Oasis when Yue grabs her head, wincing in pain. "Are you okay?" Sokka asks. This isn't the time to be jealous, but I can't help folding my arms.

Yue squeezes her eyes shut. "I feel faint."

"I feel it too," Aang says from the other side of the saddle. "The Moon Spirit is in trouble."

"I owe my life to the Moon Spirit," Yue says. She explains how, as a child, she was born sick, and to cure her, her parents placed her in the Spirit Oasis, where her hair turned white. She has some of the Moon Spirit inside her. That must be why I'm always dazzled by her.

As we fly over the city, I see more destruction the closer we get to the oasis. I glance over the saddle and spot Atka and some warriors fighting off the Fire Nation, but things aren't going well for them.
