Song ~ Mr. Rager

Sokka's POV

I fucked up.

I fucked up bad.

It had been 2 days since me and Dee had our argument. I knew she was mad at me, but I thought we could get past it. I'm an idiot I know.

She had been mad at me before and I didn't think it could be any different, but I was so wrong. She was avoiding me. She left the house at early times in the morning and came back near to midnight when Katara and Aang had passed out. I stayed awake to make sure she actually came home and to ease Katara's mind, but I expected that to happen however she didn't stop talking to me, but it was not like before I would ask her something and she would answer with no emotion behind her voice her eyes told a different story.

She also stopped smiling. She could be smiling while I was gone but Katara's face says otherwise. After the argument I did not see a smile on her face. That's the part that hurt the most. I took her smile away.

She isn't even reading when I'm nearby. I think it's a way to get back at me. She knew I watched her read. I had this game where I would guess what was happening in her book from her facial expressions. Then tell her what I had thought and after I got it completely wrong, she would explain what happened.

When I did see her read it was like she didn't enjoy it anymore. She wouldn't gasp at certain parts or start giggling randomly, just a blank face.

That's the face she has right now eating her cloudberries. Katara put her foot down and said we were going to eat breakfast together which I could tell bothered Dee but even she knew there was no use of arguing with Katara when she gets like this. So here we were silently eating our food while we pretended everything was ok. I took another bite of my cloudberries, and they had a sour taste to them. I look around the table for the sugar and when I finally spot it, I can see they are out of reach and next to Dee. Just my luck.

After a few minutes of contemplation on whether I should jump over the table I worked up the courage to just ask her. I clear my throat which catches the attention of everyone. "Uh dee can you pass the sugar?" I asked barley making eye contact with her. Both Aang and Katara look towards Dee then back at me.

"Sure." she says giving me the tiny pot before going back to her berries. I considered asking if she wanted to add sugar to her berries but if she wanted, she would've by now. We all finished up and started to head our separate ways. I was going to the training grounds Aang and Katara were going off to learn water bending. Dee said she was staying in today which was a surprise.

When I got into the training grounds I got straight to work, I wanted to leave all the issues I had with Dee at the door and just focus on what I was doing in that moment. I was hitting the punching bag with as much power as possible imagining I was in a real fight when I overheard a voice. "Yeah, me and her are going out after this." I peek over my shoulder and see Atka. Great. Here I was thinking I was going to have a Dee free day.

I tried to focus and block him out, but I couldn't "You and that girl who's friends with the Avatar? What's her name? Dae?" His friend questioned. I almost corrected him.

"Her names Dee and yes." I rolled my eyes. I shouldn't even be listening to this. "Oh, look what I got her." I could hear him rustling in his pocket. I slowly turned my head and saw a green bracelet and it was ok. Nothing special. "She said something about liking the colour green. I think it's her favourite." Obviously, he wasn't listening properly because that's not her favourite colour.

"Well, if I was a girl I'd definitely kiss that face" his friend jokes.

"You think?" Atka asked with his tone being serious.
