Mid-November

Aliyah's long dark hair was straightened down her shoulders neatly. She wore a red coat and a black French cap, with a matching scarf. Underneath that was a black sweater and blue jeans, the usual. She did her makeup nice and seemed all jumpy, and for a reason.

"Hey. How do I look?" the girl questioned while spinning in front of a mirror, checking out the black boots on her feet.

Baek-Hyun put down his book of psychopathology that he had finished almost two-thirds of, and glanced at her from the couch. She smiled brightly.

"Good. I guess. " The boy said and continued to read.

Ally growled, expressing her dissatisfaction. She put a hand on her hip. "That mellow 'good, I guess' better be 'he's gonna wanna do you tonight'. "

She and Kameron got pretty close ever since that Halloween party. Nothing happened in particular, but their bodies were always really close as they spoke, and the eyes met very often, signaling sparks between them. She felt like he got interested in her, bit by bit, and later he ended up walking her home, even though the way to his apartment was very long. The two of them exchanged Instagram profiles and just randomly messaged each other for more than two weeks already. He came two times to Joe and Hyun's place to hang out as well and it had gone pretty well. The last time he visited was three days ago and that's when he mentioned the two of them should go out for a drink or two on Friday evening. Aliyah and Kameron scheduled a date for tonight, so she could not help but grin uncontrollably.

"I'm studying, you stubborn woman. You look terrific, you're hot, you're perfect, now leave already. And why did you come to my place to get ready? You have your own. "

Aliyah pursed her lips. "Wow. Someone's cranky when they have an exam coming up. I just thought it would be more fun because Jordan went to Washington for the weekend and Heavenly's staying at Maxx's, so we're both alone. "

"I'm not cranky. " Hyun put down his book and got up. "I wanna use that time to study. You should too. "

"Don't order me around. " she protested. "I promise I'll study tomorrow. I want tonight to be perfect. "

He put the pot on the stove, ready to make some coffee and to study long and hard. Hyun sighed. Obligations were getting harder to be finished with. Exams were coming closer and closer each day. Baek-Hyun had gone to visit his parents last weekend. Mother kept preaching how he shouldn't be wasting time and partying but should study instead. She was always way too involved in his business but this time she wasn't wrong. He had seen Hana too. They had gone out on a nice date and he slept over at her place. It felt almost unreal after such a long time. Now, it's just back to the usual everyday life. Before it was usual to be next to her and now, that's the unreal part.

Ally's phone rang. She answered. It was Kameron claiming he is in front of their building in a car.

"Well, I guess it's my time to go. Bye Baek-Hyun! " she grinned happily and squeezed herself more into the coat.

Baek-Hyun peeped from behind the fridge and rose his hand to wave. "Bye. Have a nice time. Don't miss the door when you two come back drunk to have sex. "

"Ha-ha. I won't. " Aliyah opened the door and left, all giddy thinking of the two of them getting to that stage.

Down in the car waited Kameron wearing his dark blue jeans and a black coat. He looked seriously stunning and Aliyah could not help but check him out when she sat in the car.

"Hey. " he greeted her happily. "You look cute. "

"Thanks, Kam. " she buckled up, swarmed with happiness. Kameron drove out of the driveway.
