Two days later
"You are finally home." Ally remarked, as her roommate walked in, wearing some clothes too big for her skinny figure. "Are those Maxx's clothes?"
Heavenly nodded, putting down the bag with the dress from the party. She stayed at Maxx's for two nights, as they could not separate after the first. She only sent Aliyah one message, saying she'll be at his place. Her friend impatiently waited for the details.
"Soooo?" Ally jumped up excitedly and hugged Heavenly as a greeting. "How did it go?"
Heav chuckled, as her cheeks reddened, and hid her face in Aliyah's shoulder. "Oh god."
Ally's eyes widened. She grabbed her high-school friend by the shoulders and separated them, staring at her face excitedly. "Oh, God? Oh God, what?!"
Heavenly could not help the smile that spread over her face and she squealed a bit, jumping on Aliyah. "We did it! "
"Oh my God!" The girls just started screaming without a stop.
Heavenly dropped to the couch and covered her face with her hands. "It was really nice. I had such a good time."
"Yeah that's so sweet but tell me the good part, how big is his thing? " her friend freely asked.
Aliyah was the kind of person that could talk about anything. She had no boundaries. She wanted to know all.
Heavenly wasn't too shy either, at least not while talking with a friend."He's enough in size, but man is he thick.."
"Wow." Aliyah took out a piece of cake from the fridge and started eating it with a spoon. "How many times did you do it?"
"Three," Heaven said and laid down, fully spreading over the couch.
"You animals." Ally gushed, smiling, and sat in a chair to eat her food. "How did it come to that, exactly? You guys just disappeared without a trace."
The girl on the couch glanced at her friend while laying on the soft pillow. "It's kind of weird. All we talked about was... Jordan. And Maxx got pretty self-conscious because of him. He asked me all these questions, if he's good to me, if I still like Joe, how come we are so close yet nothing.. And I explained to him the truth and kissed him. So then he kissed me back and we kind of ended up deciding on going to his place. It felt spontaneous and emotional, you know? As if he was trying to prove himself. "
"Could be." Ally swirled her spoon between her fingers, staring at the big clock on the wall. She thought it through. "Be careful from now on. You don't want him to doubt a person you're living next to, because that would be too tough to get out of his mind."
"Careful?" Heav groaned. "You're telling me to be careful even though you're the one that mentioned me liking Jordan in front of Maxx. Someone really should put a tape on your mouth when you're drunk."
"Sorry." she made an innocent grin and continued to eat her cake.
"And why should I be careful about my friendship with Jordan for someone? What does it mean to be careful, not hang out with him anymore? If that's what it'll take to soothe him, then I don't wanna do it."
It was six pm already and the weather got cold outside. November had started and Heavenly had no idea how September and October went by so quickly. During that time, the bonds she made here kept getting stronger, and so did the one with Joe. He was a safe place. A kind of friend everyone wished for, no doubt. She was not capable of putting some kind of boundary on it just because of another person's low self-esteem. Her feelings for Maxx grew, no doubt, but she could never let another person dictate how she will live her life. He didn't ask that of her either, he just wanted to be convinced a bit that everything is gonna be okay. Heavenly left out the detail from the previous party of her and Joe talking in his room when consoling Maxx. She thought it had no value and that it would just upset him more. It should not be talked about, she concluded.
