Don't stand so close to me

Part 8

Non of the boys wanted to go back to school so they decide to stay in Kurts room, cuddling or something close to that. After what he just did all that Kurt wants is to have Blaine close to him. His Blaine. The Blaine who is still at his side although Kurt tried to push him away.

The curly haired boy just sits on Kurts bed with the other boys head resting in his lap. Lost in his thoughts Blaine Plays with Kurts hair while the boy has his eyes closed and enjoys the touch.

He wasn't asleep, although he feels pretty worn out since he couldn't really sleep. But there's time for sleep later because now he just enjoys the moment.

"Are you okay?" Blaine asks. Kurt has been quiet for a longer while now. "You're here so yes" the boy answers, not bothering to open his eyes. Blaine laughs "I didn't know you can be cheesy". "Shut your mouth Anderson" the other boy answers smirking.

When the front door opens the boys hear steps coming closer to Kurts room. That must be Finn who comes from school. "Hey. Last period got canceled but I took your homework. For both of you. How are you Kurt?" the tall boy asks his brother.

Now the other boy opens his eyes and shrugs "Thanks for bringing the homework". "So you talked? A shrug is more than I usually get" Finn says and Blaine nods confirming "We talked".

Since it's still early afternoon and Kurt still seems pretty worn out Blaine lays him down and takes him in his arms "Try to sleep a bit Kurt. You look exhausted". "I am" the other boy says and cuddles closer to his boyfriend "Thanks B". And just like that he falls aleep.

Blaine just watches the boy sleeping peacefully, thinking about what Kurt gone throught. He knew that there was more behind this attitude of the bad boy. He thought he was missunderstood but what happened to the boy is something Blaine never expected. He knew he was right when he thought that Kurt isn't really a bad boy. But how could be some people so cruel?

Later that day Blaine wakes Kurt up from his nap. He slept solid two hours. "Kurt? Honey?" he shakes the boy softly "Wake up". The other boy shakes his head "Can't I sleep until tomorrow morning?". The curly haired boy laughs quietly "No. We still have homework to do and soon Carol and Burt will come back and then it's time for dinner".

"But you're staying right? For dinner and since you have your school stuff here maybe also over night?" the other boy asks shyly. "If that's what you want then yes, I'll stay" Blaine agrees, seeing how Kurt smiles and opens his eyes "Thank you".

"Oh and Honey? Where did that come from?" Kurt asks laughing after he sat up. Blaine shrugs "I don't know but since we don't really have pet names for each other I thought it's time". "Pet names are cheesy" the bad boy says laughing but Blaine shakes his head in shock "Absolutely not! They're cute!".

Now that Kurt is awake the couple sits down and starts working on their homework until Carol comes home. Kurt stands up and goes downstairs to her "Carol is it okay if Blaine stays for dinner?". "Sure" the woman answers "I'm glad you feel  better again Kurt". With a short smile Kurt runs up the stairs again. He never really had smiled at Carol before.

Usually the walls are up at all time. But Blaine gets them to break down and even tho Kurt is a bit afraid he's still completely okay with it.

When Burt comes home Kurt goes down again and this time with Blaine. "Hey dad? Blaine stays for dinner? Can he stay over night as well?" the boy asks. Burt sighs but nods "if it makes you feel better again then yes". Kurt nods "He does" and hugs his father shortly. Also something he hadn't done in a long while.

At dinner Kurt tells his family that he talked to Blaine about what happened and that he's now willing to try and talk to a therapist. He finally gave in about what they try to get him to do for the past years.

Kurt looked out for several different therapists until he found the one he's most comfortable with. It's a mid-aged woman with a cozy decorated office and at this place Kurt felt more at peace as at the others.

Now he regulary goes to her, talking about what happenend, how it changed his view on different things and how it changed him. But of course they started easy with Kurts life in general. They talked about his bad boy image, how he's around his family and around Blaine. They also talked about Kurts interests and hobbies so she could help Kurt find his place again.

After only the first few times Kurt had already get better and shows that not only in the way he treats his family with hugs and smiles but also in public. Blaine is just casually walking to his next class when Kurt first starts walking next to him and then even takes his hand. "Are you sure about this Kurt?" the smaller boy asks and Kurt nods "Very much".

Two weeks later Kurt decides to let his black and white style at home and tried on some clothes he bought just in case if he ever gets better again. Now that he starts to feel better again he wants to try to wear more unique clothes again. Clothes that are more his style.

Soon he'll be himself again and enjoy life just like he did before it happened. He is nice, wears his clothes again and even gains intrest in joining the Glee Club. Finn and Blaine are the only ones from the Glee Club that heared Kurt sing before but that's not going to stop him.

When Blaine goes to Glee practice Kurt goes with him and talks to Mr Schue "Mr. Schue? I would like to join the New Directions". "Sure Kurt but you have to audition first" the teacher answers and earns a confused look from the boy "I thought everyone gets in". "They do but we still want to hear the people sing first so we can directly think about how to include them" Mr. Schue explains

"Mike for example sings good but he's even more of a dancer so we incllude him especially into choreographys and on the other hand your brother has a great voice but-". "But he can't really dance" Kurt ends his sentance, remebering Finn practicing the steps in the living room and Kurt watching him, trying not to laugh. The teacher nods "Exactly".

Ready to audition Kurt chooses the song Blackbird from The Beatles and it's a success. Everyone is clapping for him after he finishes the song and smiling at him when Mr Schue says "Kurt Hummel, welcome in the New Directions". Happily smiling Kurt goes to his boyfriend who gratulates him with a soft, little kiss, not longer than a second.

With that he is okay by now. Not more in public but lip touching in general is already a progress and it will get more and more until Blaine can give Kurt a proper kiss in public.

Life is great Kurt thinks. He has his clothing style back, he gets along better with his family, can do what he loves which is performing in glee, has found firends and he has a boyfriend that he can now even show affection to in public.

But now that Kurt is back to Kurt again he has to face one thing again. The bullying.
