So, everyone told me Natasha should be mad at Steve when she first sees him. This is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy it!

I know that the sun is out there somewhere But I been living in rainCan we quit playing games, I'm standing right here

"Oh, shit." Yelena turns around, a smile appearing on her face. "Oh, Natasha?" She calls, "Come look what I found."

Natasha frowns, dragging herself off the ground. She glances over her sister's shoulder, straight into the blue irises she can never forget. She freezes in her tracks, a lump forming in her throat. He jumps down from the jet, walking toward her slowly.

"Steve," she whispers.

Everyone feels the tension in the air. Steve swallows deeply, noticing the emotion cross over her face before she has the chance to hide it. She wants to run forward into his arms, and allow his strong embrace to force all of her worries away.

But she can't.

She's still pissed at him.

Steve smiles weakly, "Nat."

Natasha clenches her jaw, glancing quickly at the other two people watching them closely. Mason has his eyes trained on the ground, moving his foot playfully through the grass. Though she knows he's listening. Yelena is not bothering to hide the fact that she's watching their every move.

"What are you doing here?" She forces out.

The redhead feels the anger swimming through her veins. She doesn't know if it's because of the airport battle, with all the chaos that destroyed everything in its wake. Or maybe it's because of Sharon. Or maybe it is because she is emotionally exhausted. Being on the run and pregnant isn't fun. Especially alone.

Not to mention her past is biting her in the ass.

So...it's definitely a little of all three.

"Nat," Steve frowns, glancing behind him. He grasps her jacket sleeve, gently pulling her away from the ears listening in. "I know I said things. Things that hurt you. I regret it so much. Nat, I'm sorry."

"You can't fix all our problems with an 'I'm sorry."

She notices the flinch he tries desperately to hide from view. Her words hurt, but they're the truth. Steve's not going to be able to fix all the mistakes made with two simple words. He hurt her. It's going to take more than empty promises to fix things. And he's not the only one who needs to fix the mistakes.
