Avengers Jet
September 16, 2016 – 9:20 AM

Tony watches the young teen before him closely. The brunette is fidgeting with his sleeve, struggling to focus on anything other than his frantic thoughts. This wasn't supposed to happen. Ross wasn't supposed to go after Spider-Man and try to arrest him. There was no reason – the friendly neighborhood protector was innocent.

But that's not enough for Ross.

Secretary Ross decided that since there were no leads on the status of the rogue Avengers, he would focus on the next agenda on his list. Spider-Man. Those people – the enhanced, dangerous individuals – should not be allowed to roam free. They should be locked away with no chance of an escape.

That's what Ross believes.

And as Tony watches the young teen in front of him, he can't help but want to use every single ounce of power the Stark name demands in order to destroy the older man. He almost killed Peter. He's tried to ruin Natasha in the eyes of the world. He's tried to destroy the team and came to fucking close to succeeding.

But this is the last time.

And Peter's grim face is a sharp contrast between his usual smiling expression, not to mention how his tense form is unconsciously shifting as a shield to protect his healing abdomen, which is one very prominent reason Tony will make sure Ross is gone.

The Secretary never should have gone after Peter.

Tony shakes his head, struggling to center his thoughts and his attention somewhere – anywhere - besides the young teen before him. The young teen, who less than a week ago, was brought into the compound by Vision covered in his own blood. It was only after hours were spent in surgery, did the good news finally relieved them of their worries.

Peter was going to be okay.

Need time to recuperate? Yes.

Because the doctor admitted that without the enhanced DNA within Peter's bloodstream, he would've died. The three bullets that pierced his suit – one to his chest and two to his abdomen – would have killed him. Secretary Ross would have killed him.
