5 years later
Izuna was a pre-teen while Madara and Emi were in their teen years.
Emi was a beautiful Uchiha woman, she already had many admirers, that ranged in age from her age to mid 20s. Of course, Emi was the daughter of one of the Uchiha clans highest ranking generals, so she was a sot after bachelorette.
Mamoru and Hotaru, weren't going to force her to marry though, Hotaru and Mamoru were both confident that their daughter would marry Madara one day.
EMIS POV
It was an ordinary day, Madara and Izuna were at war with Tajima and my dad.
I was in the library reading different medical books that I could find, which is what I typically did when Madara and Izuna were gone.
"They're back!" Someone yelled into the library to alert everyone of the returning troops.
I put my book down and went running outside and instantly spotted Madara and Izuna. I ran up to them.
"Madara!" I yelled as I jumped into his arms.
Madara had turn around at his name, just in time to catch me.
"Emi..." Madara said sadly.
"I'm so glad your back! Why do you look so sad?" I asked as I noticed their faces.
"Emi. Follow me." Tajima said coming up to us.
I nodded and followed him with Madara and Izuna in tow.
"Where's your mother?" Tajima asked.
'Oh no.' "I think she's inside making dinner." I said. 'I know. I just know, but it can't be!'
The group of four made their way inside the house, and just like I had said, my mother was in the kitchen making dinner.
"Hotaru." Tajima said.
Mom stopped what she was doing and put her knife down and turned to us in surprise. "Lord Tajima?"
"Hotaru. I regret to inform you, we had multiple casualties during our last battle with the Senju. Your husband, Mamoru Uchiha, was one of those casualties." Tajima explained.
Mom put her hand to her mouth, and slid down to the floor with tears coming out of her eyes.
"MOM!" I yelled as I went to my mothers side.
"Tell me Tajima. Did he die a hero?" Mom asked through her tears.
"He did. He was protecting someone important to him, he said. His death is a giant loss to the Uchiha clan. He was one of my most trusted generals and battle strategist." Tajima said.
"I see. Thank you Tajima." Mom said bravely.
"Mother!" I said as I held onto her as we cried together.
Tajima, Izuna and Madara go to the door and leave together, but I saw Madara look back at me and my mother in mourning.
What I didn't know was the pain he felt in his heart at seeing me like that.
