Sun steps into the dim place with his friend when the guard opened the glass door for them. "God, I know I was supposed to be doing my paperwork back on my condo, why am I here?" He muttered causing Jay to burst out in laughter.
"C'mon! We didn't see each other for two weeks! Also, give yourself a break you're always busy with work," Jay replied then plopped on the empty couch, Sun followed after.
"I don't have any stress reliever during the busy days besides smoking, my trash is full of boxes of cigarettes," Sun said, upset that he can only settle on what he doesn't usually do.
Jay chuckled then leaned closer to his friend's face, Sun stayed still unfazed, "You could've called me, you know? We can make out, that's your favorite stress reliever, right?" Sun shoved his friend's face away from him and rolled his eyes.
"I'm not into friends' benefits, sir," Sun shut Jay down before he called for the waiter. The omega pouted while Sun only raised a brow at him. "I know I'm not your type," the alpha added making Jay laugh.
"Yeah, you're too pretty for an alpha," the older commented, Sun couldn't reply for a short while because the waiter arrived with their orders.
Playing with the rum in his hand, Sun finally responded, "I know right, irks me off 'til this day, omegas still despise me."
"You are such a red flag. You prefer omegas but you make out and have sex with betas just to relieve your stress, asshole," Jay spit out shaking his head in disappointment as he takes a sip of his whiskey.
The alpha brushed his jet-black hair feeling slightly irritated by what Jay said. "I hope you don't get laid tonight," Sun spoke in annoyance causing the omega to laugh at his friend again.
"Maybe alphas are really for you, many had swooned over you, why not them?" Jay asked resting his back on the couch, arms and legs both crossed waiting for his friend's answer.
"They're not cute, at least not to me," Sun answered after he drank all of the alcohol from his glass.
Jay nodded his head, "well, we do have our preferences," he acknowledged the younger's answer. "But what if you see a cute alpha?" Jay continued with another question, intrigued by his friend's love life or more like sex life since Sun never committed to anyone.
"I'm not into alphas even though they're cute," Sun retorted, tired of his friend's nonsense questions. They already talked about this countless times, Sun thought he should've written a script.
Sun prefers omegas but only plays around with betas for fun since omegas avoid him and he never engages with alphas. He doesn't say it out loud but he also wants to experience the feeling called "love."
"I've already accepted that you will never have a love life," the omega presumed, pouring his glass half-full of rum.
"Thanks for being a supportive friend," Sun thanked the older but in a sarcastic tone.
"My pleasure," Jay responded with a wide smile that made Sun roll his eyes at him again.
After a good hour of catching up with each other, Jay decided to join the crowd on the dance floor. Sun chose to stay at their table since he isn't in the mood to meddle with anyone right now.
Not until something dark red passed by in the corner of his eye, did he turn his head around to find that shade of color. It is his favorite color of red after all.
Although he's a bit tipsy, he walked in the direction of the person with the hair color of his favorite red.
He sat on the high stool beside the stranger, then ordered himself a glass of margarita from the bartender. "Good evening, it's my first time seeing you here," he started a conversation thankfully the stranger looked in his way.
