"Sunoo hyung!" A familiar voice greeted Kim Sunoo standing in front of his classroom. He turned around to see his close friend, Niki standing right behind him. Niki walked up to him and wrapped his arms around Sunoo's shoulders, pulling the older's face next to his face. "What are you doing after classes?"

"I am just going to work on some papers. Are you just done with your group project?" Sunoo asked back.

Niki nodded, knowing that he just lied to his Sunoo, again. Niki had no group project meeting. He came to the campus early so that he could spend time with Sunoo. "Yes. You are going to class, right? Can I please tag along? My class doesn't start till 2 pm."

Unable to resist Niki's pouting face, Sunoo smiled and agreed. Niki cheered happily as they marched into the building. When Sunoo suddenly stopped, Niki almost bumped into Sunoo who was slightly in front of him. Niki looked into the classroom and only then he realized why Sunoo was hesitant to go in. He was back. Park Sunghoon was back.

So who is Park Sunghoon to Kim Sunoo? The two used to date two years ago but Sunoo cheated on Sunghoon which led them to break up. After that, Sunghoon left to serve in the mandatory military service. So skip forward two years, and he's back.

Niki's smile transformed into a frown. Not because he was worried about his friend but because he was worried that the threat is back. Yes, for the past five years since he met Sunoo for the first time, he had been in love with the older man. But Sunoo was popular since their high school years. He was constantly pursued by multiple people and the only reason he successfully became Sunoo's friend was after assuring that he didn't have ulterior motives towards him. Well, that part wasn't so true. But Niki believed that as time went by, Sunoo would realize his feelings.

He then dragged Sunoo and barely found seats at the back. "Sunoo hyung, don't worry. Just pretend like he doesn't exist," Niki leaned in and spoke in Sunoo's ears.

"He's literally in front of me," Sunoo let out a worried sigh.

Niki didn't say anything but he was visibly unhappy with Sunghoon's sudden reappearance. Recently, he felt like Sunoo was getting more comfortable around him and thought it was finally his time but now Park Sunghoon is going to ruin everything. Niki secretly clenched his fist. He thought his secrets were all buried for good when Sunghoon was out of the picture.

After the class ended, Sunoo wouldn't wait to run out of the room. But his steps were halted when someone called out his name. It definitely wasn't Niki's voice. But it was a voice he knew, Park Sunghoon. "Sunoo-ya." Sunoo felt his heart drop. It has been so long since Sunghoon ever called his name. He slowly turned around to face his ex-boyfriend.

"Can we talk for a moment?" Sunghoon said.

"S-sure. Niki, let's meet at the canteen later," Sunoo signaled to Niki. Not too content but left with no choice, Niki nodded and left. But he turned around for a slight moment to see the two talking but decided to walk away.

Sunghoon then led the way and Sunoo just quietly followed. They then found a quiet corner with a small table and two chairs. "I probably should've let you know that I was coming back but well, now you know. I hope that you don't have to walk on eggshells around me. We can still be friends, right?"

"Of course... I mean I'm not in the place to say anything. Sunghoon hyung, I am still very sorry for what I did... I wasn't in my right mind."

"You don't have to keep apologizing. And it seems like you're still friends with Niki?"

"Ah yes, I guess I'm stuck with him for now, haha."

"Well, I ran into Jongseong recently."

When the name Jongseong popped up, Sunoo felt like every part of his body tingled and his limbs felt cold. In a split moment, he was sent back to that one morning when he woke up in an unfamiliar bedroom next to a man other than his boyfriend Sunghoon. He didn't remember anything except being super drunk from their department dinner. And then he called Niki who came to pick him up.
