"Since today is the first day of school and know nothing much about each other today we will do a special activity." Mr. Vlad said as the class gets excited.
He leads the class to an empty field and tells us to line up like our seating arrangements.
"In order you all will be demonstrating your quirk to your fellow classmates so you can all have a general idea of what each other can do," he said as we all nod, "First up is Awase."
One by one everybody showed off their quirk in front of the class and it was a great to watch:
Awase's quirk allowed him to weld objects to organic and inorganic material,
Kaibara was able to make any part of his body rotate as if were a drill,
Kamakiri was able to produce razor sharp blades from any part of his body,
Kuroiro's quirk allowed him to move freely in darkness,
Kendo's quirk made her fists turn huge,
Kodai could alter the shape of any nonliving object and return it to their original size at will,
Komori's quirk allowed her to spread a various types of fungus spores,
Shiozaki's quirk gives her hair like vines and can lengthen and manipulate them and detach them as well,
Shinshida is able to change into a beast and human at his command,
Shoda can target and then remotely make the point of contact experience a second impact,
Pony's quirk gives her a pair of horns that she can use as projectiles and grow back immediately and can remotely control them,
Tsuburaba can solidify air and it becomes bigger depending on lung capacity,
Tetsutestsu can turn his body into steel,
Setsuna's quirk allows her to split up her body into as many as 50 pieces as she is able to remotely make each and every one of these pieces move freely and levitate through the air at high speeds,
Fukidashi allows him to materialize words in midair by speaking to them,
Juzo's quirk allows him to soften any non-living thing he touches,
Bondo's quirk allows him to spray large amounts of a fast-drying glue-like liquid from the seven holes on his face,
Monoma's quirk allows him to duplicate and use another person's quirk after coming into physical contact with the user,
And finally, Reiko's quirk allows her to telekinetically control nearby objects.
Everybody was phenomenal at using their quirk and had a deep understanding of them.
My turn was next, but I had a problem. Originally, I was planning on telling people my quirk was copying others but unfortunately Monoma's quirk was pretty much the quirk I was trying to impersonate. Small world. I had to improvise, and I had to do it quick if I didn't want to look suspicious.
"Hi everyone, my name is Marcus, and my quirk is..." I take a minute to think of a name for my quirk, "...Impersonation."
"What does it do?" Mr. Vlad asked.
"I can impersonate anyone's quirk as long as I can see them or have a deep understanding of them," I answer.
If I told everyone that my quirk had the ability to take, copy, and combine them might sound obscured so the explanation I made was imitation. It was the best I could come up with that sounded rather reasonable.
"So, it's pretty much like Monoma's?" Kendo said looking at him.
"Well... sort of," I said as I turn my body to steel and make my fists huge using Tetsutestsu and Kendo's quirk, "I can use quirks simultaneously and I'm pretty sure I can manage a couple at once."
"Woah! That's so cool!" Tetsutestsu said repeating cool many times, "It's so manly!"
"Guess that's a recommendation student for ya," Kendo said putting both hands in the air as she shook her head with a smile.
"Hmp. I find this extremely unfair," Monoma said crossing his arms as everyone laughed as he did as well as he gave in.
"Then that about sums it up," Mr. Vlad said writing notes down, "Now get back to the classroom and get ready since classes will be starting soon."
As we made it back to our classroom all of us talked to one another as we complimented each other about their quirks and how it could be useful in its own way. It was a very wholesome moment to look at with everyone having smiles and enjoyment on their faces. Very different from middle school.
I could tell that my high school years were going to be full of great moments and I chose the right path for my future. I felt as if I were with my classmates, anything could be possible.
This was the best first day of school I could ever hope for.
