Today was the day. Today was of the day the U.A. Sports Festival. I went to school with an overly nervous Midoriya while we looked through his hero notes to keep our minds off the events that would later take place today. We both bid each other good luck and head off to our perspective classes.
When I met my classmates, they weren't as fired up as I thought they would be.
"Is something the matter you guys?" I asked joining in.
"Not really," Kuroiro said, "...well."
"All everyone talks about is class A!" Monoma said slamming the board, "Its always class A this and class A that! We deserve respect just as much as they do!"
"N-Now now Monoma," Shinshida attempts to calm him down.
"He does have a point though," Tetsutetsu said, "We work just as hard but can't seem to shine despite our efforts."
The atmosphere in the room was cold and we were all silent as we just exchanged glances of each other. I sigh as I gain everyone's attention.
"Monoma and Tetsutetsu aren't wrong," I said, "However, we can't just antagonize them just like that."
"Class A might be getting the spotlight now but I'm sure that someday it'll be us in that position," Shoda said.
"Besides," Kendo said gathering the class into a huddle, "Having a rivalry can be exciting, right?"
Kendo smiles as the rest of us start to warm up and forget about the situation with class A. We then all look to Monoma who reddens up a bit and looks down.
"Well now you're making me look like the villain..." Monoma said.
"Don't worry about it," Juzo said giving him a nudge, "we know you mean good."
"Just don't go crazy and piss them off," Kaibara said doing the same.
"Ow!" Monoma shouts, "That hurts you know?"
We all laugh at the struggling Monoma as we waited for the Sports Festival to begin.

When we heard the broadcast to enter, we left our waiting room and entered the Freshmen Stage. Alongside us was class A and then it was the other departments. From the looks of it, the students from the General Department didn't look very excited. We gathered towards the stage and the chief referee, the Pro Hero: Midnight, asked Bakugo, the student representative, to come up stage. It wasn't a surprise that Bakugo declared war against everyone. I accidently made eye contact with him, and he stared me down, almost with the intention to kill. Sometimes I don't know if he's joking or serious. I don't know about him killing me, but one thing was sure, Bakugo was taking this seriously.
"That arrogant bastard!" I could hear Tetsutetsu say.
Well... nothing I can say about that.
With Bakugo's declaration of war, the U.A. Sports Festival had finally started. Fireworks had gone off and the cheers from the crowds were just as loud. Midnight announces the first game as a big screen appears behind her as it picks our first game for preliminaries.
"The first game of the Sports Festival will be..." the spinning wheel stops, "An Obstacle Race!"
The Obstacle Race was a race along a four-kilometer-long obstacle course around the festival stadium. The catch was that we could use our quirks freely was long as we didn't leave the race course.
We all make our way to the start to wait for the signal to begin. I look and nod to my classmates and wish them good luck as we ready ourselves. However, right when the race was about to start, I sensed something about to happen.
Right as the alarm went off, I shouted, "Jump!" to my classmates.
The one's nimble enough to react to my signal all jumped as I said. It was then a wave of ice swept the floor freezing everyone's feet who couldn't escape it. Due to the ice most of the students were stuck at the entrance of the race. As I pushed through with some of my classmates, I could see the majority of class A in the lead with a guy with red and white hair.
The whole shenanigans with the ice probably pissed all of us off but there was one thing we learned, and it was that class A meant business.
