"Marcus, Hey Marcus!" Kaibara said snapping his fingers in my face, "You, okay? You've been staring out the window for a while."
"I-I'm fine," I said blinking a couple times, "Sorry about."
I talk with Kaibara a bit until class started. The reason for me spacing out was because of what All Might and Mr. Tsukauchi asked of me last night. The being All For One was out there and he was probably behind the attack on the U.S.J. and the League of Villains. From what I can tell he was the biggest threat to society or maybe even the world.
What bothered me the most was that he and I were similar. We both possessed the same quirk; except he wasn't afraid to use it for his own personal gain. What's worse is that maybe, just maybe, he might be related to me to some extent. The nightmares I would occasionally have of villains rampaging about may have been a thought to me, but it gave me shivers when I think that it might've already happened once when All For One had power over the people.
Nevertheless, after my meeting with All Might and Mr. Tsukauchi yesterday, I finally found a goal. I had to get stronger and support them however I can.
"Marcus!" Cementoss said, "General studies are also an important part of becoming a hero. So, focus!"
"Y-Yes sir!" I said receiving chuckles from my peers.

After our last class was over, there was a huge crowd of students gathered outside of class A. It was most likely because of the upcoming Sports Festival Mr. Vlad had told us about this morning. We questioned if it was okay to hold such a big even after the U.S.J. incident but they said the Sports Festival was deemed to important to cancel. The Sports Festival is a national televised event, but it was also a good way for us to show pro heroes our skills to get scouted. So, in a way this event is also important to us as well.
My guess, everyone was in front of class A was because they managed to survive a villain attack. Also, to scope them out.
"People sure are making a big deal out of this," Juzo said beside me.
"Yeah," I replied, "not that I don't get what their coming from."
I look to see Midoriya and the rest of class A in front of the whole crowd trying to figure out what to do. I make eye contact with Midoriya and give a wave as he gives me an awkward smile as a response. I then see Bakugo having a short argument with a purple haired guy and walks off like nothing.
"Still the same Bakugo..." I mutter faintly.
"Do you guys know what's going on here?" Setsuna said holding her bag behind her back.
"People came to scope out class A after the U.S.J. incident," Juzo said, "also some of them kinda declaring war."
"They can't catch a break, can they?" Setsuna sighs.
"Seems like it," Juzo follows.
"You said it," I said as we leave the crowd. "but they aren't wrong."
"What do you mean?" Setsuna asks.
"A guy earlier said it was possible to transfer to the hero course from the general department based on the results," I said looking back at the crowd, "same can happen vice versa."
"We better up our game then," Juzo said.
"I should start improving my skills," Setsuna said making her hand into many pieces.
This was the start of our own personal training sessions. During hero studies and after school, everyone in class B devoted their time to try and improve our skills. Some of us worked independently as others worked together based on what was best for them. As a class, we came together every now and then to talk about different methods of how we could use our quirks as well as the synergy we can make. When I wasn't with my classmates, I would train with Midoriya and occasionally All Might to hone my strength and stamina. It wasn't much but I could feel myself improving slowly after each session.
I continued my training up until it was finally the day before the Sports Festival. I did my regular training but kept it to a minimum since I didn't want to strain my body too much. To my surprise, I had gotten a message from someone I admire.
"All Might!" I said meeting him at our usual spot.
"Marcus," All Might waves as he offers me a drink, "How has your training been?"
"Great!" I said, "I've been following the manual you gave me to improve my strength."
"That's great to hear," He said with a calm smile, "I just wanted to wish you luck tomorrow."
"Thanks All Might," I said, "It means a lot hearing it from you."
All Might laughs hitting his thigh coughing a bit of blood in between.
"I'm sorry for my sudden outburst," All Might said calming down, "It's just that young Midoriya said something similar.
"Figures he would say something like that," I said, "I actually have something to say All Might."
I face the symbol of peace and place a hand on my heart.
"I Marcus Yasuhiro will do my best to help defeat All For One by any means necessary. I will train hard during my time at U.A. to become a pro hero and protect the world you and the other heroes created."
I know I was the one who said it, but I got a bit emotionally from my own words.
"Do you best," All Might said ruffling my hair, "You have what it takes to become a hero."
