Chapter 14: The Incident

Today school was like no other. Everyday classes, lunch, and then hero studies. Well, it was supposed to be hero studies but the class we were trying to learn was postponed due to class A using the facility before us. We were supposed to learn how to rescue people in disaster situations in the Unforeseen Simulation Joint also known as the U.S.J.

However apparently there was an accident that occurred which led to the majority of the teachers to go on duty, and we were sent home early.

"Hope the students over at class A can manage until the teachers get there," I said worried about Midoriya's well-being.

"Don't worry about it!" Setsuna said assuring Juzo and I, "All Might went with the other teachers, and he didn't look happy."

"I hope everyone makes it back alive," Juzo said.

"Don't say things like that Juzo!" Shiozaki said placing her hands together, "Those who talk about the dark will be punished by the divine beings."

"Um... Sure," Juzo apologized as Shiozaki started reciting lines from the bible and he slowly walks away, "You do you."

"So, we just go home?" Shinshida said confused.

"Looks like it," Monoma said packing his bags, "I took a look in the halls, and it seems all the students are leaving."

"Well, it's not like anything's going to happen if we just stay here," Tsuburaba said following Monoma's lead.

"Okay, everyone!" Kendo said loudly, "Let's call it a day."

"See ya, tomorrow guys!" Tetsutetsu said.

One by one we all left the classroom and headed home. Going home was the plan but Setsuna thought it would be a good idea to use this time to hang out to which Juzo and I agreed too because we had nothing else better to do. We tried to get the whole class together, but everybody had already left. Nonetheless, we went around the shopping district and had some fun. Juzo and I watched Setsuna look at clothes and did some karaoke after. We also had dinner together and had a nice talk in a nearby cafe.

It was nice to spend time with my new friends and I was a bit sad when they had to leave but it was okay because I would be seeing them at school anyways. I had texted All Might and Midoriya to see if they were okay, but I never got a reply. I ended up knowing about what happened to them through the news as their class had been attacked by villains who called themselves The League of Villains.

From the looks of it, the students had some minor injuries but were safe. The damage the villains left behind was pretty bad as the U.S.J. had become a mess and would take time to recover. Thanks to the help of heroes and the police, they managed to arrest a bunch of villains but what caught my attention was the weird man-like bird they had caught. It was shown only briefly on TV, but I was able to see it was apprehended with multiple safety measures.

It was late but I finally got into contact with Midoriya and All Might. I met them at the police station and gave them both a hug. They both had bigger injuries than the others and I had so many questions to ask. However, before I could say anything, Midoriya's mother came in with tears in her eyes as she took Midoriya back home. She offered me a ride back, but I declined and stayed with All Might.

"What happened out there?" I asked, "I saw what happened on the news."

"We were attacked by an unknown enemy," he said.

"I'm glad you all made it out okay," I said as All Might slightly smiled but quickly turned into a frown.

"I'm more than glad that the children are safe..." All Might said clenching his bandaged fist.

"Is everything okay?" I ask.

All Might tells me about his encounter with the bird-like creature and the people who lead the attack. The ones who lead the attack had powerful quirks as one could teleport and the other could decay stuff with his hands. He described one as a "man child" and the other as his guardian. The creature he fought was named Nomu and it was physically enhanced to fight All Might. What caught my attention the most was that it was able to use multiple quirks.

"You have to be kidding me!" I said almost shouting, "That's impossible!"

"Yes, it is," All Might said putting his hands together, "However they managed to pull it off."

"B-But who would do such a thing?" I said as he quietly looked at me.

Then it hit me. Was there someone out there who had the same or similar ability I had? If there was, the accident that happened today wasn't something random. Someone out there is actively trying to harm the world's peace and was targeting All Might in particular. I have had to try to find if there was anyone who possessed the same ability, I had countless times, but it always led to a dead end. There was no record of a person able to wield multiple quirks unless it was one that had multiple attributes.

"Marcus..." All Might spoke.

"Yes...?" I answer.

"You wouldn't happen to know anything about this,would you?"
