Catalina turns around her bed as the sun hits her face. She slowly opens her eyes and looks at her alarm. She starts getting up and takes a quick shower before changing into her outfit. She straightens her hair and grabs her bag before heading out to her car. She gets to her car and decides to stop by a small cafe to get a sandwich and coffee.
She gets to the office and is quickly welcomed by a woman.
"Hi, you must be Catalina, correct?"
"Yes." Catalina says before straightening herself.
"Follow me, I'll show you around." The woman says before walking.
Catalina follows her and is given a tour of the office it was not that big, yet it still had enough space.
"You will work in cubicle 14, when you come in each morning there will be a folder on your desk, if not go to Michael, he's in charge of them. However, right now I shall take you to John he will give you your folder."
Catalina nods and is taken to her boss's office. As soon as she opens the door she's greeted by an old man in a dress shirt and pants. Do you remember Mathilda's dad? Yeah, he looked like that but bald and without a hat.
"Hello, you must be Catalina."
"Hi."
"I've heard so much of you young lady." He says before sitting down.
Catalina sits down and looks around his office. He takes a sip of his coffee and goes for a folder.
"When Martha recommended you to meI was quite surprised. She's told me how good you are."
"*giggle* Yeah, that's her." She says remembering her teacher.
"So, I already have a huge assignment for you."
"Y-You do?"
"Of course. I trust Martha and her words, dear. So I will have you write down an article."
"On...?"
"I bet you have paid attention to the many things regarding the forests, correct?"
"Hard to miss, sir."
He chuckles and hands her the folder.
"Write me an article on the forest, don't be shy to include the victims. Right there you will already have a list of victims throughout the years."
"Hmmm, not sure."
"Come on." He says getting up and going to her.
"This is no catalog or paragraph, it's a whole article. P-Plus, how can you trust me? Why don't you give this project to one of your best and to a worker you've had for a while. Thank you, but this...this is huge! Not to mention, it's my first day."
"Look, I admit I could but I believe you could make it greater, Catalina! I know it!"
"*sigh* Ok, I will write it."
"YESS!" He says clapping his hands.
She gets up and leaves his office weirded out. Why, would he give her this big assignment? He has NEVER seen any of her work. Maybe this is some kind of test?
Who knows, all she knows is that she needs to start this article and now!
