Monday 19th of June
"Here she is," Kai yelled across the square. Why does he keep saying that? Announcing to everyone that I've arrived. He did it at breakfast yesterday, this morning as well. I don't mind anyone else doing it but when he does it... I just can't stand him right now I hate him breathing...
He's sat outside the Tree Trunk with poor Fry. How did he get caught up with him? He'd wanted to do something with me tonight and the only other option he was giving me was to hang out in his cabin which I did not want to do. I told Stella I'd only be an hour tops, the plan is to just entertain him for a while then complain of not feeling very well, so I can go back to my cabin. I slowly made my way over crossing the little park and towards them. Fry's face was a picture. He was clinging on to his beer for dear life with a scowl on his face.
"Hi, you guys okay?" I said as I sat down with them.
Fry gave me a very sarcastic thumbs up and took a huge gulp of his drink. "I'm glad you've finally joined us." He grunted.
Kai laughed. "I saw Fry sat here alone so thought I'd join him. We've been having a great time. We've had a very interesting conversation haven't we dude?"
He nodded his head slowly. "Yes, you have."
It's just turning into a universal thing at this point. Nobody seems to like him. What happened? I used to obsess over this boy. How am I only seeing this now? Luckily, I never had to sleep in his cabin last night. We got him drunk enough that Stella, the boys, and I were able to push him into his own cabin and put him to sleep. Then I happily skipped off back to my own. My friends are too good to me.
"I'll get you a drink," Kai said as he got up.
"Thanks, can I get a-"
"-no, no I'm picking for you... You wait there." He interjected.
"Oh okay then don't let me stop you." I turned to Fry who still looked just as unamused.
"Sorry about him." I apologized.
"You can tell he's not from 'round here"
I cringed. "He won't be here long..."
"You don't like him at all do you?" He acknowledged.
I let out a laugh. "It's... complicated."
He nodded his head slowly. "He must have a massive dick."
I let a surprised laugh. I never expected Fry to say that, but okay...
"No, actually erm... It's not even that."
"Well, it can't because he's rich even I know you're not that shallow."
I looked down. I'm gonna get a name for myself around here if people know I'm with this guy. At home, people didn't seem to care. You could do anything and people just accepted it. But around here people notice everything, it's a smaller area, everyone knows everybody, whereas at home nobody knew who you were.
"He's only here for a week, I couldn't make him leave." I said.
Fry frowned, "Don't let him take away your time."
"It's only a week." I laughed.
He smiled, the first real smile I'd seen from him. "When you get to my age you'll find the last thing you'll want to do is waste even a moment of your time with people like him. Don't bring yourself to their level."
"Thanks Fry." I smiled. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, be right back."
He nodded his head at me and I ventured inside. It took me two seconds to spot Kai at the bar with a girl stood next to him, one of the lifeguards. Kiera, I think her name is. She's got a wide smile giggling at whatever the fuck he's said to her. He's leaning in close in his renowned flirting pose. I didn't even flinch, it didn't bother me one bit. I wasn't even surprised. I just feel sorry for her being caught in his web. I had flashbacks of the first time I met him. I knew he was popular in the area, he had house parties all the time. When Stella and I got invited we were so excited and then when we were there he spotted me by the pool. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world knowing that he wanted to spend the night with me.
