When the seventeen year old dashed into her house past midnight, tears streaming down her face. Her mother had known something was wrong. It didn't take much for the girl, to blurt out the truth—that the baby wasn't Zach but Roman's. Susan was stunned and very upset, she didn't say much but the woman knew that—there was more to the story or her daughter wouldn't have mixed up who the real father of her grandchild was.

Chantel refused to explain more, and the woman decided that it'd be wise for the pregnant girl to move back to Rosewood. She'd brought her daughter to Hemlock Grove to get better but things turned out the opposite after the girl befriended Roman Godfrey and Susan blamed herself for ignoring the warning signs and keeping her daughter in town for far too long.

The very next morning, Benjamin Channing was at their doorsteps ready to take his niece back to Rosewood. Chantel beamed at the sight of her uncle, even though she didn't know who her father was—Benjamin had always been a father figure in her life, they'd drifted apart ever since she'd moved back to Hemlock Grove but whenever she needed him—he was there by her side.

The man embraced her warmly, "how's my favourite girl?"

Chantel hugged him back, "missed you."

"I missed you more cupcake." He gently rubbed her back, "shall we?"

The girl looked up at him and gave a little nod. Susan was putting Chantel's bags on the black Toyota Tacoma truck.

Gia Rai appeared wearing her pyjamas, by the look on her face and her messy hair Chantel could tell—the girl just sprinted out of bed. She'd left a message for Gia between 1-2am in the morning, informing her that she was moving back to Rosewood.

The brown girl pulled her bestie into a warm embrace. "I'm going to miss you," she sniffed.

"I'm going to miss you more," Chantel hugged her tightly.

"I'll come visit," she murmured.

"You better," Chantel let out a little chuckle.

"Honey," Susan called.

Chantel gave her mother a nod and turned back to Gia, "you know what you have to do," she said.

Gia nodded, "don't worry."

She smiled, "I'll FaceTime you as soon as I reach."

Gia placed a soft kiss on her cheek, "take care of yourself and the baby or aunt Gia is going to be super upset."

Chantel kissed her back, "I will," and headed towards the black truck.

Susan Channing hugged her, "take extra care of yourself, you're carrying a life inside you."

"I will, mom, I will." Chantel mumbled.

Even though her mother had been a pain on her ass, she was going to miss her.
