two days after vecna had opened the gates from the upside down into hawkins, everyone was starting to leave, driving away to family, moving houses and no one could blame them. because of vecna, the town had split into four and buildings had collapsed on themselves and onto people, many people in hospital.
the hospital had started to fill up so they had placed beds in the p.e all of hawkins high and many others that couldn't get into the hospital we're staying there to be taken care of. max was one of the people in hospital. donations were being taken to the school to help family who had lost their belongings to vecna's plan. clothes and sheets were taken as well as blankets to help.
adella stepped out of her car at the wheeler's house, holding some of her old clothes that's she'd grown out of since she was 15. el didn't use them anymore since she had her own clothes so she thought that others would use the them. she also put in a few old blankets from her bed and some pillows she didn't need.
"hey." adella smiled at robin who grinned towards her, standing by nancy's car.
"hi." robin replied and took the box from her hands, placing it into nancy's boot.
"love the suspenders." adella hummed, pulling her closer slightly with one and robin blushed.
"someone order a pizza?" karen wheeler asked, standing a metre away from the car.
"pizza?" dustin questioned confused and they turned to the pizza van approaching, it's horn honking loudly as it drove very quickly.
adella eyebrows furrowed, "argyle?"
it stopped at the path at the end of the wheeler's driveway and argyle stepped out followed by jonathan and then will, mike and lastly el. el ran straight towards adela who met her in the middle, hugging one another tightly, happy they were both safe. will and dustin hugged one another as nancy and jonathan reunited.
adella pulled back from the hug and gently placed a hand on el's head, "where's your hair?"
"papa came back." el told her and her eyes widened. "but he is dead now."
"i thought he was before?" adella scoffed a laugh.
"me too. i got my powers back." el explained. "he made me remember everything that happened in the lab."
"jesus, that must've been traumatic." adella sighed and hugged her again, el happily doing the same, leaning her head on her shoulder.
el locked eyes with robin who gave her an awkward smile, which el returned brightly, "did you tell her?"
"what?" adella asked.
"robin. did you tell her or did you wimp out again?" el giggled, separating their hug.
"i did not wimp out the first time!" adella exclaimed, punching her shoulder lightly.
