VINNY'S POV

As my alarm rang, I sighed and snoozed it out of weariness. My son was born in Singapore, and I stayed there until he was five years old. I looked up at the ceiling of my room and realized that time had flown by, and I had returned with my brothers and son to Manila.

Throughout the years, many things have occurred. As a software engineer, I have been employed by Kuya Simon's business. It was challenging at first, but I managed to get by. We're now taking a vacation from our busy job schedules to celebrate mom's birthday, and later on, we'll be back at our home in Ilocos Norte.

All of my family members were excited to see my son, and they showered him with gifts. My grandmother, Mama Meldy, in particular, was overjoyed to meet my father's first ever grandson. My train of thought was suddenly interrupted as I heard a soft knock on my door. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to be still asleep.

Liam called my name, asking, " Daddy? Daddy! Are you awake already ? "  I sensed that he had climbed on the bed because I felt it dip. He then started poking me in the cheeks. I engulfed him in a hug, which made him burst out laughing. My son's cheery face welcomed me as I gradually opened my eyes.

He smiled at me and added, " Daddy, Lowlo pops and Lowla mommy are waiting for you downstairs na po. " I kissed his cheeks and fluffed his hair.

I asked him, " Are your uncles there too? " He shook his head in response and responded in his poor accent " Uncle Si is still sleeping po then Uncle Sandy went out daw po saglit. "  I patted his head and grinned.

I grinned and said " OK, I'll come down in 5 minutes. Maliligo muna si Daddy ha? " He  nodded his head and grinned, I ruffled his hair when his dimples showed.

" oh and daddy? "

" yeah bud ? "

He kissed my cheeks and said, " Good morning, Daddy " before wriggling free and escaping my grasp. I grinned before entering the bathroom to take a shower and prepare for the day.

William Vincent Marcos, Jr. my son, who is 5 years old. Yes, that is the name of my son. Since I was a kid, I've always wanted a junior after my name, so I'm glad I finally got to name my kid after me. I also made the decision to shorten his name to Liam.

After taking a shower a little while later, I headed downstairs to our dining room but stopped short when I heard my kid laughing at my father's poor joke. I shook my head and went inside. I gave my son and my parents cheek kisses.

I said as I sat next to my son. "Good morning, mom, pops. " We then heard footsteps and saw Kuya Simon, who had a messy appearance. He murmured drowsily, " Morning " kissed my son's head and gave mom and dad a kiss on the cheek. He then patted my shoulders and took a seat beside our mother.

My son said, " Good morning, Uncle Si. " and we all grinned. " Good morning, buddy. Si Sandro po dad ? "

" Andun sa munisipyo, may inaasikaso lang. " Pops answered and gave us two a glance while mum was occupied chatting to one of our assistants.

In anticipation of pops surprising mum for her birthday later, we both grinned at him.
