While Madam First Lady and her two sons and grandson attended the event with the two girls, Samuel sat in his office in Manila, staring out the window, remembering how much his girlfriend had changed, especially their daughter, who was truly a ball of sunshine.
" I miss you both so much, I hope you both forgive me, I did this to save you both. " he continued, and tears streamed down his cheeks. When he heard a knock at his door, he quickly wiped his tears away and let the come in.
" Sir? " Ariel, his faithful secretary and buddy, called. " Yes, Ariel, is there something wrong with the investments? " he asked, swiveling back in his chair and looking at him.
" It's all right, sir; I'm just here to remind you that you have a meeting in Ilocos Norte tomorrow afternoon at 2pm about the restaurant franchise. " Ariel says. Samuel made a humming sound.
" Thank you for reminding me about that, Ariel; I almost forgot about that meeting. " He thanked him. Ariel smiled and nodded.
" Sam, are you sure you'll see them again in a year? " he said, and Samuel paused and bit his lower lip.

" You never know, maybe she'll hold a grudge against you after you left her, I'm sorry Samuel, I know I've crossed your limits. " Samuel waved his hand and grinned.
" I'm really not ready to meet with them Kuya, and I know I was wrong to leave Via and our unborn child, but I can't let them both die when my parents threatened to kill them, so that's why they let me choose and yeah arrange marriage with Krystal." He sighed and bit his lip to keep his tears from falling again.

" I've seen you at your worst, Samuel. Andito lang palagi si Kuya mo okay? Can't you just divorce Krystal though? "
" I can't. My parents don't want to and continue to threaten them if I divorce Krystal; you know I have a daughter and a family that I left because of their threat. "
" Samuel, do you think Sylvia would let you back into her life? " Ariel questioned, which made me laugh cruelly.
" After what I did to her ? I think hindi na ata kuya. Tsaka matagal na din yun pero kahit baliktarin parin ang lahat may anak na ako at asawa na di ko naman mahal pero wala eh, diko sila pinaglaban dalawa. " He said and Ariel gave his shoulder a squeeze.
" I just hope the meeting tomorrow goes well, and I'm scared of who I'll be meeting tomorrow. " Samuel whispered. " I hope so, too. It's already night, Samuel, and you have a flight to catch tomorrow. " Ariel replied as he brushed his hair back.
" I'll head home later when I'm finished with these files, kuya, thank you. " Samuel said with a smile. " Okay, I'll go ahead and see you tomorrow, Samuel. Goodnight and drive safely, okay? " Samuel nodded and returned to his work, his thoughts returning to his family that he had abandoned.
