THIRD PERSON'S POV
" YOU FUCKING BULLSHITS! TINULUYAN NYO NA SANA YUN! malilintikan talaga tayo kay boss nito. " Galit na saad ng isang lalaki habang kinakausap nya ang kanyang mga kasamahan na nakayuko ang mga ulo nila sa kapalpakan.
They heard the door open and everyone tensed in panic as their boss entered the room, his face distorted in wrath.
" Didn't I tell you to end Vinny Marcos' life?! Why is he still fucking alive! I said end him right away! Why the hell is he fighting for his life in a hospital. " He yelled at them, and they all flinched at his voice.
" Is no one answering me?! I only gave you one job and you all failed to complete it! FUCKING BULLSHITS! " he exclaimed, and no one dared to reply as their boss gave them a stern stare.
" We admit sir na, we failed to kill the target but b-boss he... He fight with us there inside, that's why we failed to kill him there sa cr... " One man mumbled, as the boss approached him and choked his neck, the man gasped and struggled to get his boss's hands on him.
"s-sir.... Please, I have family..." one man said, but the boss threw him to the ground, took his revolver, and shot him in the head.
" You messed up my plan, and you're all fucking useless! I shouldn't have hired you! " He spit at them as his phone rang, and he shook his head in anger. He moved away and replaced the phone in his pocket.
He got into his car and drove quickly to the hospital. " I'll end him myself! " he exclaimed, ignoring the ringing phone in his pockets.
He took out his phone, went to his contacts, and dialed a number, then placed the phone in his ear. " Do as I have told you; if you don't kill him, I'll certainly end your family's life. " he added as he drove his automobile at high speed.
In the meantime, at the hospital. Vinny was alone in his room because his brothers were at the canteen purchasing dinner. A female nurse then appeared, wheeling a trolley containing several medications and fluids that will be injected into him. She surveyed the area before grabbing a fluid and a syringe.
Her hands shook in fear as she stirred the fluid and injected it with a syringe. She was about to inject the fluid that would undoubtedly end Vinny's life when she heard the door open.
She looked around anxiously and noticed Vinny's two elder brothers looking at her. Simon approached her slowly, noticing her hand tightly gripping his brother's arm. " What are you doing? " he inquired.
" I-i'll be injecting him with fluids, sir. " she stuttered, and Sandro stared at her warily.
" What is that fluid for? He was just given some fluids... " he asked, raising his brows at the way she clenched the syringe in her palm. " Oh, my bad, sir, I must have been wrong. " she apologized before slowly inching the syringe and injecting it.
" But I forgot to inject him these fluids a while ago, please excuse me. " she replied after injecting the fluid and placing the syringe on the cart, which she gently pushed outside. The two brothers gaze at her with distrust and give their brother a look that causes him to convulse. In horror, the two widened their eyes. The nurse took one look at them and dashed away.
The two brothers were terrified. Sandro cursed and raced after the nurse, while Simon ran and sought for a doctor, claiming that the nurse had injected something into their brother's body, causing him to convulse.
He dashed back to his brother's room and was about to walk in when the nurse stopped him and shook her head. "Please, I need to know if my brother is okay. " he said.
" I'm sorry sir, but it's hospital protocol, you need to stay here as the doctors will try to sedate your brother. " the nurse stated as she shut the door of the room, leaving Simon to stare out the window and the doctors surrounding his brother's body.
He noticed Sandro panting after hearing a clack on the floor. " I was able to apprehend her, and she has now been handed over to the appropriate authorities."
" We shouldn't have left Vinny's room, kanina... " Simon whispered, as Sandro looked up and peered out the window, where physicians were now pounding Vinny's chest.
" Why are they doing this to us, kuya? Anong kasalan ni Vinny sa kanila. Our brother doesn't deserve to be here; he should be at home with our nephew," Simon remarked as Sandro approached the window and placed his hand against it.
" We all know why, Simon. Vinny's ex-wife, and especially the guy she's currently dating, are against it. She wants our brother dead so she can have full custody of our nephew. Remember when I said she needs money to pay her debts? " Sandro stated, and Simon nodded his head in agreement " Not on our watch, kuya, muntik na namn mawala si Vinny sa atin. Buti nalang nabutan natin and catch the culprit. I hope this ends and that girl and that man rot in hell. " Simon added.
They observed via the window as the doctors gently exited the room. The doctor removed his mask and gave the brothers a serious look. " Doc, ano pong na inject na fluid ng nurse sa kapatid ko? " Sandro inquired.
" I can't say the name of it but I'll give you some details on that one. We managed to get the fluid out of his body just now and almost lost him. " The doctor cleared his throat " if you guys didn't come on time, well surely lost him. The fluid injected to him is dangerous, it can slowly kill him but you guys managed to call us right away. "
" He convulsed after he was injected the fluid doc... " Simon said and the Doctor nodded his head. " Your brother's body may have been shocked by the dosage and that's why he convulsed. " the doctor replied, and the brother sighed in relief.
" Will he wake up soon? " Sandro hoped. " I'm not sure yet because his body needed to heal; let's all hope he gets through this. " the doctor added before leaving the two alone.
