While Kuya Sandro and I were waiting for Kuya Simon sa loob, who was still ordering, I was browsing through my phone, my gaze fixed on the girl I met at the fountains. She was sipping her drink and nodding her head at her friend, who appeared to be complaining about something. I giggled, felt a shove on my waist, and turned at my older brother, who was smirking at me. I scowled.
" Who's the girl you're staring at, Vinny? " he questioned, pocketing his phone and crossing his arms across his chest. " No one kuya. " I remarked as I returned to my phone.
" Hmm no one. Okay...Pero yung ngiti mo ah. Parang may something eh. " He teasingly said and I was ready to respond when Kuya Simon walked out with two boxes of donuts in hand.
" Let's go. " Kuya Simon urged, and we followed him. I looked back at the girl, and we accidently made eye contact; I blushed and swiftly caught up with my brothers.
When we arrived at the parking area, we parted ways with Kuya Simon, who was parked a few streets away. Kuya Sandro clicked the door open, and I walked inside, followed by Kuya Sandro, who looked at me again and gave me a mischievous smile as he started the car.
" Caught you two locked your eyes at each other. And wait are you blushing? Ohhhh. Oh... " He said and I rolled my eyes. " Kuya stop it please. "
" Vincent, it's okay to love someone again, but be careful who you choose to love this time, okay? " Kuya Sandro added as he reversed the car. " Kuya alam mo naman na si Liam muna ang priority ko and his safety against my ex wife plotting something bad against me. " I reminded him.
" I know, and that's why we're here to help you. " he added, and we heard a honk alongside us and saw Kuya Simon open his window, so I opened the car window.
" Race you to Mama Melody's house, Kuya Sandro? " Kuya Simon suggested and smirk at our brother and I gaze at Kuya Sandro, who raises his eyebrows at his comments.
" Oh, Simon! Vincent, buckle up, this ride is going to be fun. " Kuya Sandro exclaimed, and I laughed. Both of them cranked their engines, and Kuya Sandro and Kuya Simon exchanged sidelong glances. " See you later, Kuya, Vince! " he yelled as he sped away, and I clutched my seatbelt for dear life as Kuya Sandro drove harder and chased Kuya Simon.
We arrived to Mama Meldy's house last and noticed Kuya Simon leaning against his car with a smug expression on his face. I instantly got out of the car and shook my head aggressively.
" If only I had brought my car, Kuya Simon. You're so unfair. " I murmured as I heard the door open again and Kuya Sandro slam it shut. " You won again, Simon. " Kuya Sandro exclaimed as he entered the house.
We chuckled as we entered the house, stopping by the door while our mama meldy was hanging out with my son who was also playing with Kuya Michael's daughter, Mia.
" Mama meldy.. andito na po kami. " Mama meldy patted Kuya Sandro's cheeks with excitement as he kissed her cheeks. " I miss you, mama meldy. " Kuya Simon whispered as she hugged her, and mama meldy patted his cheeks.
" Hello, Mama Meldy " I replied as I hugged her and felt her touch my back. " Vincent apo ko. I'm sorry about what I just heard about you. Remember, lola is always here for you alright? " she murmured as I held her tightly. I felt her kissed on my head. Mama meldy cupped my cheeks as I drew away from the hug. " I love you, mama meldy. " I replied, and she smiled " I love you to apo ako. " she added, squeezing my hand. When my son saw me, he smiled.
" Dada I missed you! " he exclaimed, hugging me. I laughed and hugged him back. " Tapos na ba kayo kumain mga apo ? "
" Tapos na po mama. Oh shoot I forgot the donuts in the car. Haha kunin ko lang saglit.. " Kuya Simon excused and hurriedly went out to get the donuts. We all just laughed.
" As usual, Simon is distracted. " Kuya Sandro said as he shook his head. " Liam, don't you miss your Uncle Sands? " he asked, looking at my kid, who was contemplating. I rubbed his hair.
" No. " He giggles, and Kuya Sandro's expression drops as he turns his attention to Mia. " Mia, don't you miss your Uncle Sands? " he questioned. Mia didn't respond, and I laughed.
" Hmph fine. Uwi nalang akong Manila, di nyo pala ako namimiss eh. " He pouted and act like he was about to go and I watch my son ran to him and engulfed him in a hug " I was just joking po uncle sands hehe. I miss you! " He said and Kuya Sandro ruffles his hair, Mia then ran towards them too.
" I miss you too Sands. Hehe. " She said. " I finally have the donuts! " Kuya Simon remarked, and the kids raced over to my brother, grabbing the box of donuts from him.
