Ray placed his arms around Emma as she leaned back splitting his attention between her and Norman, the dark haired boy felt himself zoning out while Norman spoke to Emma. He listened to the two talking about future ideas for the group, zoning back in where he heard another voice, seeing the voice belonged to Anna.

"hey you guys, sorry to ruin the moment but could I borrow Ray?"

Ray gave a confused look and Emma spoke up, basically speaking the words Ray was thinking "Oh how come?"

"Jemima was climbing with some of the other Kids and she cant get down and has scared herself by how High up she's gone"

"oh that's fine I can help then" emma sat up and went to get up before anna spoke again

"no she really wants Ray, I tried to help her but she really wanted him to help"

Norman and Ray shared a look knowing something wasnt right since Jemima would take help from anyone. Norman nodded and Ray signed before getting up and letting Anna lead the way. Emma turned to look at Norman.

"I thought-"

"its not adding up. Could it be the start to his surprise maybe?" Norman asked trying to solve this mystery.

"no Don was in charge of that and he wasn't going to do it until later. I'm going to go ask him"

Norman nodded at Emma as she got up. "i'll come with you. If thats okay?"

"oh sure" the two walked off to find Don and ask him about what was going on. 

Meanwhile Ray walked off to where Anna said Jemima was noticing the girl wasnt on the rocks at all so walked over to her, lowering himself to be sat down.

"Hey Jemima, did you manage to get down from climbing on the rocks then?" He said knowing it was a stupid question but knew Jemima would tell the truth.

"I was never on the rocks?"

"oh I see. Its just someone brough me over since you apparently got stuck and only wanted me to help you"

Jemima smiled at Ray and walked over to sit with him, he noticed Anna nervously chuckle and walk off. Ray internally rolled his eyes and got up, he felt Jemima grab his hand and try to drag him but struggled so gave in and helped by pretending to get dragged by her. She led Ray to an ice cream stand and gave him a small look of 'please' 

"we have to check with the others because if I get you one. Ill get accused of favoritism and we dont want anyone feeling left out do we?"

"yea! We can ask!" She raced off and Ray followed keeping an eye on her as she went around asking and those who wanted some went over to Ray. Emma and Norman noticed the crowd of 20 or more kids around Ray so went over to him, seeing the ice cream nearby. 

"I see youve got caught by the 'can we have ice cream trick?" Norman said with a light chuckle.

"unfortunately I have"

Once all of those who had agreed for one arrived they all ordered and Norman and Ray ended up paying together. They went back to their seat and Ray passed Emma the ice lolly she wanted but decided to not bother since she didnt want to add to the price of the food.

"here, you deserve one"

"thanks youre the best! Wanna share it?"

"im good thank, its all yours"

Emma nodded before opening it while sarcastically laughing at Norman pretending to gag. Ray noticed the beach starting to get busy, seeing Gilda and Don starting to gather everyone and tell them to stay with the group. 

"After everyone has eaten, lets head back"

The others minus Emma who was to busy eating nodded. The orange haired girl noticed herself starting to get a few weird looks and felt scared, she noticed one guy in particular seemed to have interest in her. Ray picked up on this and immediately one why. He signed noticing his bag was too fa to reach so gave Emma the shirt he was wearing to put on muttering to her "put this on and ill hold your food also i'm stealing a bit of it" she nodded and passed the lolly to him, nodding to say that's okay', while Emma put the shirt on Ray had some of it (how Emma was before which originally caught the guy's attention) and stared at him not breaking eye contact until he left. Once the guy left, Ray passed Emma back her food and smiled.

"thanks Ray"

"Jesus Ray- not even a piss off just scaring the guy away"

"you know what he as thinking while Emma ate so I simply did the same to see if he still felt the same."

"I guess that makes sense, remind me to never anger you then" Norman said with a small chuckle. Laughing a little more at Emma's confusion 

"huh? What was h thinking?"

"nothing you need to know about, just enjoy your food"
