A carriage drove through the small city and arrived in front of the Feng family's manor, which sprawled out over half a square kilometer. They were one of if not the most wealthy family in the area. The walls, gate, and buildings were all ornately decorated.

"Young miss, we've arrived at the Feng residence," Cai Fei said, setting the reins down. With her closed meridians and plain clothes, nobody would suspect her of being anything else than a carriage driver.

"Thank you," Ren Meili said, stepping out of the carriage.

"I'll wait here."

Ren Meili strode towards the gate with confidence. She wore a beautiful dress and had a slight smile on her face.

"Feng Junjie, I've arrived," Ren Meili shouted, her voice laced with qi to allow it to carry through the entire residence.

It didn't take long for him to come to the gate with an entourage of a dozen servants. The years hadn't been kind to him and he paid no attention to youth preserving techniques, so he fully looked like a middle-aged man.

The gates swung open and he swaggered out with a wicked grin. "Ren Meili. I expected to have to drag you over here, but you actually came on your own. Have you accepted your lot in life?"

"Open your eyes, pig," Ren Meili spat. "I've reached the Nascent Soul Realm. This marriage will never be."

"What? That's impossible!" He sensed her qi fluctuations, which confirmed her statement. "You must have taken a pill to temporarily raise your cultivation!"

"I wouldn't stoop to your level," Ren Meili replied. "My cultivation is genuine. This isn't like when you tried to face Yue with that pathetic false core."

"Since you dared come here, don't even dream of leaving," Feng Junjie growled. He thrust his finger towards her. "Guards! Seize her!"

"Don't worry, I'm not planning on leaving right away." Anger erupted in Ren Meili's eyes. "I still have to pay you back for the suffering I've felt over the years!"

She grit her teeth and blurred forward, closing the distance between her and Feng Junjie in a fraction of a second. Lightning danced along her arm as her fist collided with his chest. The air rushed from his lungs and he flew back a dozen meters before crashing into the ground and skidding a few more. Three of his ribs had been broken.

Ever since Shao Yue had left, he had never been a match for Ren Meili. Even though his family gave him plenty of resources, it couldn't match Ren Meili's talent and drive. The gap between them only widened.

Currently, he was in Core Formation Fifth Stage. He simply couldn't compare to a true Nascent Soul cultivator, and that was before mentioning the purity of Ren Meili's qi that had arisen from Shao Yue's guidance during Core Formation.

Feng Junjie was thoroughly panicked. He spat out a mouthful of blood and shouted, "Guards!"

"They won't be coming," Ren Meili said. "But, if I'm in a good mood after this, I'll send you to meet them."

At that time, the elder Feng family members were having a meeting with the Mu family. They all sat in a hall discussing trade when the double doors suddenly exploded inward, scattering splinters throughout the room.

"Feng family!" Shao Yue called, striding in. "I left a clear warning. If anyone messed with Ren Meili, they would be wiped off the map. Your worthless mutt Feng Junjie dared have ideas about her. You will all share in his guilt and pay with your lives."

The Feng family patriarch rose to his feet. "Who do you think —"

Shao Yue waved her left hand, filling the room with a faint silver glow, her Sword Domain. She extended two fingers on her right hand and sliced them through the air in front of her, not even bothering to use a sword. Across the room, the patriarch's head fell from his shoulders.
