Three mighty battleships sailed out from the Central Qilin Pavilion, heading deeper into the ocean. Each one gave off a shocking aura, dozens of Heavenly Realm experts on board. Two Emperors could even be detected on the center ship.

That alone would be enough to shock anyone, but there were also two more Emperors with their auras hidden. With four Emperors, the force would be able to take on the entire world.

Shao Yue sat in a cabin, chatting with the puppet. Liezhu laid in a hammock nearby, her hands behind her head, swinging back and forth like a bored child. Neither of them seemed too concerned about the upcoming fight.

Hu'er appeared next to Shao Yue, a playful look on her face that struck fear into the heart of the puppet, but behind that fear was a bit of anticipation. Hu'er used her eight tails to wrap up the puppet in a sea of fluffy fur. Though Cai Fei complained, she clearly enjoyed it.

During the short period between the planning and setting sail, Liezhu had found and cultivated a technique that allowed her to completely cut off her senses. She used it to temporarily remove her sense of hearing, giving her some peace and quiet despite the rowdy girls.

Only when they were a day from their destination did Shao Yue finally get serious. She sat cross-legged, a high-grade spirit stone in each hand, getting into peak condition. Her aura gradually changed, going from her carefree self to something similar to an unsheathed sword.

When she opened her eyes, they were completely cold. Killing intent swirled around her, clinging to her body like a second set of robes.

The new (or, more accurately, old) version of Shao Yue surprised Liezhu. "If you were like that all the time, I'd like you more."

"Are you sure about that?"

Liezhu considered it in more detail. Although this Shao Yue certainly garnered more respect, Liezhu would likely have much less freedom if Shao Yue remained in that state. "Maybe not."

Shao Yue nodded and rose to her feet. "Let's head up."

The ship was surrounded by ocean as far as the eye could see. Above, thick storm clouds covered the sky, pitch black. Lightning crackled through them occasionally.

The other two Emperors stood at the front of the ship, scanning the horizon. Suddenly, a chill ran down both of their spines. They turned and saw Shao Yue and Liezhu emerging from below deck.

Shao Yue's aura astonished them. The clouds above even parted, allowing sunshine to fall on her. She had the appearance of a transcendent being and the air of a ruthless warlord.

Although Liezhu wasn't that much weaker than Shao Yue, her aura didn't quite match up. She had lived in the Eternal Ore Domain for most of her life. It opened every forty years, and she would kill one or two dozen people each time.

Even if she lived for ten thousand years in that way, she would only have killed several thousand people. She couldn't match up to how many people Shao Yue had killed in war, and since the war hadn't happened yet, neither could the other Emperors.

Shao Yue considered that for a bit, drifting into her memories. "I guess... it's not much longer until it starts..."

Shao Yue cast a glance towards the east with a slight frown, then shook her head and joined the other Emperors at the front of the ship. Illusory fox tails appeared behind her as she channelled Hu'er's power to enhance her divine sense, sweeping it through the ocean beyond.

After an hour, Shao Yue stated, "It's coming."

None of the others could sense it, but Liezhu believed Shao Yue and started circulating her qi, releasing profound fluctuations. A faint yellow glow surrounded her.
