Ren Meili pulled her robe down her arms, exposing her bare torso. She took a deep breath. "I'm ready."

Shao Yue handed Jin Liling a grade six clarity pill and took one herself. They needed the utmost focus. "Then, let's begin."

Shao Yue and Jin Liling both extended one hand, placing it over Ren Meili's left breast, where a faint point of light could be seen.

Ren Meili grew a bit bashful, aware of the two's preferences. She started to regret opening her meridians where she had, but ultimately knew the other two women had no impure thoughts.

Shao Yue and Jin Liling worked together. Shao Yue focused everything on shrinking their work area while Jin Liling manipulated the flow of time. The less they affected, the less damage would be done to Ren Meili's body.

The laws in Jin Liling's body allowed her to quickly comprehend how to reverse time, something Shao Yue still didn't understand well. Without her, closing the meridians would be impossible, or would have to come far later.

Their qi drained rapidly. After fifteen minutes, the light on Ren Meili's body disappeared. Shao Yue and Jin Liling collapsed backward, sweat pouring down their faces, completely exhausted. Seeing the closed meridian, both of their faces lit up. Despite their exhaustion, they cheered and hugged each other.

Ren Meili looked down at herself with wide eyes, placing her fingers on her breast where the opening used to be. She tried moving her qi. "It really is completely closed!"

"One down, seven to go," Shao Yue said with a grin. "We'll do one a day, that was so exhausting."

"Yeah." Jin Liling panted. "I really need a bath now."

Ren Meili dressed herself again while the two recovered a bit.

Shao Yue rose to her feet first and gave Ren Meili a jade slip. "Here's the method for cultivating with closed meridians. Learn it in the meantime."

"I'll do my best."

Shao Yue smiled, pride and accomplishment swelling within her. She'd been hoping to reverse her disciple's open meridians for a long time. "I'll send a letter to Grandmaster Zeng informing him of our success. We can close his meridians and see if he can progress further in his alchemy. Then, I'll invite Kong Shun."

"And then when the others return, we'll have to close all of theirs," Jin Liling said with a sigh. "We have a lot of work ahead of us."

"It'll all be worth it. I don't want you girls to be restricted to the Emperor Realm."

Jin Liling grinned. "Same here! We'll keep following you out into the universe!"

"That would be wonderful."

Shao Yue hoped it would be possible, but she still feared what might happen when she broke the world's bindings. Someone might come and whisk her away. Perhaps two factions would fight over her. She hoped the girls wouldn't get swept up in it all.

She shook those thoughts from her head. "Hey, Lifen! Prepare a bath, please."

Over the next week, they closed Ren Meili's meridians one by one. It grew slightly easier each time.

Shao Yue spent some time explaining the cultivation method to Ren Meili. It had originally been a purely theoretical art. As Shao Yue progressed in her cultivation, she refined it and had many insights to pass on.

Ren Meili gradually got the hang of it.

"Should we close mine while we wait?" Jin Liling asked.

Shao Yue shook her head. "If something goes wrong and you're not able to close others' with your own closed, then that would be quite bad. We'll save you for last."
