Shao Yue and Liezhu flew out of the sect, quickly passing the desert.
Two Emperors travelling together was enough to dominate anything in the world, but since they kept their auras hidden, only the well-informed would even notice them.
Shao Yue took out the puppet. It blinked its eyes and glanced around.
"We're not far from the sect," the puppet observed. "You miss me already?"
"Your main body is out of the range of my divine sense now, so I wondered if you really would still be active," Shao Yue said. "This clone technique is quite profound."
The puppet nodded. "Now that I've experienced it, I'm surprised the Black Sky Butterfly gave me it so easily."
Liezhu explained, "It's a fairly common technique outside of this world. Most sects have access to it, or a derivative in a different element."
"Oh?" Shao Yue raised a brow. "I don't suppose you know any of them?"
"I can't get stuff like that from my bloodline."
"I'll have to find it myself once we leave," Shao Yue decided. She looked to the puppet. "For now, how about trying to explain the technique to me, and we'll see if I can figure out this version?"
"Sure." The puppet crawled up Shao Yue's arm and sat on her shoulder, then began to go over the details of the technique.
Shao Yue had good aptitude, as shown by how she had been one of the world's strongest two cultivators in her past life. However, that aptitude mainly applied to techniques used for combat or cultivation.
With the Time Dao, she had the help of her Law Body. With the Spiritual Dao, she had the help of Jinwu and the Three-Legged Golden Crow's bloodline. But, for the Soul Dao, she had to rely on herself, and thus struggled greatly.
"I don't think this technique is for me," Shao Yue said, shaking her head. She glanced over at Liezhu. "Are there cloning techniques related to the Sword Dao? Or any of my Dao?"
Liezhu nodded. "I obviously don't know the details, but I at least know techniques exist to put a soul clone in a sword or pill."
"Interesting." She turned her attention to the puppet. "I'll search for those once we leave this world, okay?"
"Sure. I don't think you're likely to die before then, anyway."
"True. Even disregarding my own powers, there's Liezhu here to protect me, and that Black Sky Butterfly wouldn't want me to die either. Though, I won't discount the possibility of her attacking me after we break free from the world, but at least I'd also be in Void Traversal at that point."
"She wouldn't," Liezhu stated. "Nobody would want to take the risk of pissing off a Genesis Realm monster."
"Genesis Realm, huh?" Shao Yue had heard the name before, but it was too far away from her, so she didn't ask for details.
Cai Fei was different. The puppet asked, "What's the Genesis Realm?"
"An extremely high realm, where the cultivator can create life and entire worlds out of nothing but their qi."
"Whoa. How many realms above is that?"
"Five realms above Shao Yue's, six above yours."
"How long would that take to reach?"
"My estimate would be close to a hundred thousand years for Shao Yue, somewhat longer for you."
"So long!"
