Chapter 29

I put in headphones and firstly organized the files which took majority of time. Once they were organized I looked at the time and saw it was 5 in the morning. I knew I could get at least one file done in an hour and half so I got started on it and it took me 2 hours to finish one file.

Now there were 3 files left, and since it was 7 I knew I had to get ready. I got up and walked back in the room to see Manik sleeping peacefully holding a pillow. im glad I gave him a pill because if he didn't have one he wouldn't have slept.

I leaned down and kissed his forehead, he cuddled to the pillow making me smile. I showered and collected the files putting them beside my purse so I wouldn't forget to take them. I sat beside Manik and caressed his hair

"Mani" he stirred in his sleep

"Manik wakey wakey" I kissed his cheek and he pouted

"Sonai do na"

"Baby I have to head to the office, I thought I could check your temperature before I leave and say hi" I mumbled kissing his head

"No tum kahi ni jag please, meko nind ni ayegi please" he wined

"Jana zaruri hai Manik"

"I don't care about it, please stay with me"

"Okay sleep" I said caressing his hair

Within a few minutes he fell a sleep and I grabbed my phone calling arun knowing he will be up by now probably at the office anyways

"Hey"

"Morning nandu"

"Good morning arun, umm would it be okay if Manik and I don't come to the office today, does he have any important meetings"

"No he is good to go, no meetings nothing just those files are due"

"Sounds good, just letting you know we won't be there"

"Ohh have fun girl" he teased

"He isn't feeling well, its not what you think" I said chuckling

"Shit I thought you would be making babies"

"Shut up" I said and he laughed

"Chal this hai call me if you need anything"

"Thanks" I mummbled and he cut the call

I got up but Manik's grip on my hand tightened making me sigh, this man can be in deep sleep but he still is conscious about me.

"Im just gonna change love, ill be back" I said caressing his cheek

"You won't go to office na"

"I won't" I said and he let go of my hand

I changed back into shorts and a lose t shirt, I put on lip balm and grabbed the files again along with my phone and headphones. I sat down beside Manik and he immediately turned around and put his face beside my lap

"Sleep, im here"

"I love you" his was raspy and low

"I love you more" I said kissing his head

I started working on the files that were left, my phone rang making me grab it quickly so Manik doesn't wake up

"Why are you guys still in bed" I heard bhai making me look at Manik's window

There he was standing in his suit with bhabhi beside him, he looked at me with a glare but I just smiled

"He wasn't feeling too well, so I didn't wanna go"

"Okay and who is gonna tell me this?"

"Sorry na, I just have these 3 files to finish bhai, he is so stressed about it that he has fallen sick"

"That's becasue he is an idiot, stupid guy. Im heading to the office, we will come back in the evening and tell this man to stop stressing"

"Got it, umm can you bring me chocolate" I asked and he chuckled a little

"Ya I will"

"Okay thank you"

He shook his head smiling at me cutting the call, bhabhi chuckled after bhai said something to her and im sure it was about the chocolate making me pout. She smiled at me and winked making me chuckle now. Once they both left I got back to the files.

The next 3 hours I finished up another 2 files now leaving just one. I was kinda surprised that I finished it so quick so I needed Manik to double check these just In case.

"Jaan" I heard him

"Hi sweet" I said caressing his hair

He rubbed his eyes and put his head on my chest getting up making me chuckle at him. I took the files away and put them on the table beside me so he could get comfortable and I didn't need to tell him to get comfy because as soon as he files were away from my lap he was all over me

"Kya kar rahi ho" he mummbled in my chest

"Going through some work, how did you sleep babe"

"I slept good, thank you for that but tum kaha ja rahi thi subha"

"Office but apnai janai hi ni dia" I said and he nodded

"Mujhai nind ni ati tumharai bina isliye"

"Woh toh mujhai pata hai but how long are you planning to sleep" I asked

"I don't wanna get up"

"But you need to eat"

"No, I need you"

"And you have me"

"Nandini please na"

"Manik baby you need to eat, you can sleep again after eating"

"You know I can't I have to finish those files, they are due tom"

"You don't have to worry about it"

"They are important nandini"

"Yes I am well aware of that which is hwy they are almost done"

He jumped up hearing that making me chuckle. He rubbed his eyes a little, ahh he looked so cute.

"What do you mean" he asked

"Relax, there is one file left but I need you to double check them all" I said and he frowned

"How"

"I did them, now stop thinking and go shower you stink"

"Why did you stay up so late"

"Because you were stressed and Arun said he would ask for extensions but I know you hate doing that and anyways I wasn't sleepy"

"Nandini this is fucking bullshit, I have told you not to pull all nighters" he said in a firm tone getting off the bed

"I know, im sorry but I had to finish it, ill sleep in the afternoon or early tonight"

"Whatever" he mumbled walking to the bathroom making me shake my head at him

He sometimes over reacts but not in this case, there have been 2 instances where I pulled all nighters and every time I did that I was sick for weeks because I'm a weakling hahaha. I wouldn't have stayed but I know how stressed he would be and it's better if im sick rather than having him sick
