Chapter 12 : Resurrected Motivation

Meanwhile, in the spirit realm, Andrea was relaxing with Jay after a long day of doing their favorite activities of bowling and star gazing. It was fun being able to spend time with him for days on end, with no responsibility, no care but that was soon to end. The walls in the living room of their home began to crack as Andrea began to phase out of existence. She screamed and said "What's happening?" and Jay smiled and said "They're bringing you back and she tried to fight it and said "No I wanna stay with you". Jay walked up to her, gave her a long deep kiss, wiped her tears away and said "Do this for me please...give them hell and complete our mission...give my death some meaning". As Andrea phased out and everything went white, she heard his voice say" you got this, my spicy habanero hothead".

Meanwhile, back at the house, the area where Andrea's body was, exploded in a giant flash that threw everyone in different directions and severely damaged the house even further. Everyone except Maldor and Maya looked at the smoke concealing the area where Andrea's casket was and began to look down in sadness until a figure walked through the smoke. Andrea walked through the smoke, tears rolling down her cheeks but a sense of determination on her face as she looked at her bruised-up family, smiled, and said "Alright let's do this thing" before each and every one of them smiled and lost consciousness.

Andrea looked around before rushing over to her family and using what little energy she had to heal them. Paula's eyes opened but she didn't speak, instead, she pointed over to the other side of the room where two smoking craters were. Andrea rushed over and found Maya and Maldor's bodies but strangely no bruises so she touched Maya and she immediately felt full of energy again so she put it to good use. She began to repair the house that was now threatening to collapse and after doing that she pulled everyone onto the couch or a recliner. Andrea smiled before walking over to Paula and her mother and pressing her hands to their heads, absorbing their memories, and walking upstairs to her room.

Andrea sat in her room and began to tear up as her mind flipped through all the pain and sorrow her family has been through while she was oblivious to it and running around having fun whilst they suffered. In addition to seeing the memories, she could feel the pain fear, and sadness with each moment and it only strengthened her resolve to end this as soon as she could. When she walked back downstairs she found herself being tackled to the floor in a giant group hug. Andrea said, "I missed you guys too but maybe let me go so I don't die again". 

Andrea stood up and looked down at the floor nervously rubbing her arm before saying "I saw the memories and all I can say is I'm so sorry that I put you guys through all of that". She broke out into tears as her mother pulled her into a hug and lead her to the couch, sat her down, and held her as she continued to cry for a while for many reasons. She was upset she lost Jay again, upset they had to suffer, upset she failed the gods and everyone on earth who perished. Andrea's crying continued until Maya suddenly sat up and said "We've lost a few battles but we haven't lost the war yet". Paula smiled and said "yea and we're still here and stronger than ever Andrea and her mother joined in and said," But most important, we have you back here where you belong and I couldn't be happier honey".

Andrea smiled and said" You're not gonna yell at me? and her mother said "Sweetie no, I understand you were in pain and made a permanent life decision on temporary feelings but it's okay because I have you back, and we're going to fix this mess together". Andrea smiled and said" I love you guys". They all said in unison "we love you too" and Maya interrupted after a few minutes and said "we'll get back to work on saving the universe tomorrow, but for now, everyone rest, relax and get adjusted...we got our work cut out for us". Andrea's mother smiled and said, "I think your best friend wants to talk to you...well catch up later dear, I need to finish cleaning again".

Andrea followed Paula upstairs to her room and closed the door and started laughing at her. Paula frowned and said," Don't ever do that shit again...like for real". Andrea smiled and said "So I inspire you huh?" and Paula blushed, knowing that Andrea absorbed all her deep thoughts and feelings. Andrea smiled and said, "Your secrets are safe with me and I didn't look through anything except the big crush you have on Jorge at work". Paula shoved her and said "Ugh you're annoying" as Andrea began to giggle fiercely before saying "Yeah but you missed this annoying girl" and Paula hugged her tight and said "yea I did...and I almost gave up" as tears ran down her cheeks. Andrea held her as she burst into tears and Andrea smiled and said "It's okay I'm here now", and Paula managed the choke out her words and said "What if it's not enough? What if we lose what little we have left?" and Andrea smiled and said," it's time I tell you a story."
