On the drive home, Jay smiled but really couldn't form words and he worried that the ride was getting awkward because of it. Andrea giggled and said, "you don't have to talk dear, I understand that conversation is a lot to process so take your time...oh, and yes your thoughts are still broadcasting to me". After they arrived home, Jay went upstairs and changed into his pajamas, before going back out to his truck which was now in the garage. He didn't want to face Andrea or anyone right now because he felt so ashamed and disappointed in himself that he had lectured her and helped her with her issues, yet he still let the bitter woman continue to ruin his life from beyond her grave.
Meanwhile back in the house, Andrea watched television and read a few of her favorite books afterward. She really wanted to check on Jay but she knew he needed time and that he would come in to eat eventually. However that wasn't the case as dinner time came around and he still hadn't come in to eat". Andrea's mother said, "where's jay?" And Andrea sighed and said "I think I broke him...he hasn't come out of his truck since we talked about his past issues". Joanna sighed and said "I'll go talk to him" and Andrea said "no...the truth hurts but he's gonna have to face it, by himself I can't sugarcoat it". Joanna smiled and said, "Agreed...but take him a plate, I don't care how low he's feeling he needs to eat".
After everyone had eaten, she said "We're all gonna have to support him on this at that means letting him resolve the first half by himself, no matter how long it takes". After dessert, she walked out to the garage and left the food in the passenger seat of his truck while he was napping. As she watched television later that night, she couldn't get comfortable enough to fall asleep because jay wasn't there so she slipped out to his truck with a blanket and pillows. When she opened the door to the garage, he was nowhere to be seen until she checked the truck bed and found him sleeping on a thin mattress; no pillow or blanket so she put one of the pillows under his head and laid against his chest, pulled the blankets up and fell asleep to the beats of his heart.
The night was rough for him as he had endless loops of nightmares, but every time he bolted awake, Andrea's arms around him helped him to feel safe. Andrea woke up first and lay there watching him toss and turn until she had an idea. She put her hand on jays forehead, before going into deep meditation causing her to enter his mind. When she woke up, she found herself staring on a dark stormy island with jays mother towering over it like a volcano, laughing at him, torturing him and enjoying Andrea quickly followed the giant's focus, to an old raggedy house where she heard crying, Jay's crying.
She followed the crying and found him huddled in a corner with black streaks up his arms and that's when she realized why Jay had just randomly broken down; his mind was suffering from poisoning from the chaos crystal. The Crystal was enhancing his deepest thoughts and thriving off his fear. Andrea ran over to him and kissed him, which removed so of the streaks and caused the giant, great pain. Andrea smiled and said, "I'm here jay, I'm the real Andrea, I've traveled into your mind to help you but I can't unless you help me". Jay continued to huddle in the corner until Andrea hatched an idea and ran outdoors and began flying around the giant version of his evil mothers, zapping her with bursts of energy that seemed to work. Jay looked out the window watching with a smile until his mother zapped Andrea; causing her to slam to the ground as his mother laughed.
Andrea was okay but she faked being hurt in hopes that jay would snap and It worked. Jay yelled at the top of his lungs and said "IM TIRED OF YOU DECIDING WHAT I AM WORTHY OF...THIS ENDS NOW, IM SORRY MOTHER BUT ITS TIME FOR YOU TO GO BACK TO YOUR GRAVE AND STAY THERE" as his energy began to build rapidly. Jay smiled and said "go to hell before channeling all every drop of remaining energy and firing at her which obliterated her instantly, in a massive roaring explosion. When the dust settled, he went over to Andrea who was not sitting up smiling; and kissed her, before everything went white and they both darted awake. When they woke up jay hugged her and pulled her into a kiss and said "I'm ready to try and be lazy for once...I deserve to have the life I never had, even if it is just for a few weeks".
Andrea smiled and said "I'm glad you feel that way...I guess we could postpone the universe rebuilding until we are completely sure the infection has left your body" before she gave him a wink. Andrea smiled, and helped Jay out the back of the truck and said "come on in and let me cook you something to eat, your majesty". Jay smiled and said I'd love that, but umm no please don't call me that...it's weird". Andrea giggled and whispered "okay Papì" into his ear as they walked into the house, causing him to blush hard.
