Chapter 25: Out with a Bang

Andrea said, "jay what if we don't filter the chaotic infection out of the universe but instead, destroy this one and clone another one and work from there". Jay took a deep breath and said "that would work and I could time travel back and bring the gods from the past before the infection, here to the present, and then clone them or something". Andrea smiled and said "follow my lead as they walked down another corridor and into a giant room of tapestries and blocked the door with statues and took out the anti-crystal. She looked at jay and said" it'll take both of our energies combined to create enough power to overload that crystal" and he nodded and joined hands with her and they both began to channel every bit of energy from the stars and it was working but at a cost.

The sun in the galaxy where Andrea's family was, as well as countless others, went black due to Andrea and jay absorbing the energy from the stars and the suns and even moons. Neither Andrea nor jay had ever channeled this much raw energy before, but according to the god's scrolls, they were quite capable of it and seemed to be handling the immense amounts of infinite energy well. The walls of the palace began to crack as the ground violently shook, causing Maya, Maldor, and Ariel to break from arguing, and realize Andrea and jay were gone. They immediately took off running towards the source of the power build-up which led them to the tapestry room which was now bursting with purple energy.

The gods stood there looking at Andrea and jay engulfed in this vortex of harmonic energy until Maya said "what are they doing?" and Maldor's eyes opened wide and he said no...they're channeling all the power of the universe to trigger a reset... it's supposed to be nothing but a mere myth". Ariel said "well it seems to be true and Maldor said "yes but when they fire at that anti crystal, it will ignite all the chaos in the universe, triggering a massive explosion that may kill them along with all of us if they aren't in perfect unity". Maya screamed "are you crazy, we gotta stop them" and Maldor sighs and says "we can't, that energy is too powerful to be safely released at this point". After channeling for several minutes, Andrea and Jay released the power towards the anti-crystal. Seeing this, Maya turned to her fellow gods and said "it's been good knowing you, and Maldor smiled and said "see you on the other side" as the crystal exploded and everything became engulfed in white".

When Andrea and Jay awoke, they found themselves in an all-white void, much like the spirit realm. Andrea sighed and said "we died, didn't we? and jay smiled and said only one way to find out." Jay fired a small beam of energy and then thought about an ice cream cone that failed to appear. Andrea looked at him weird before he smiled and said" we're alive because, in the spirit realm, you can't use powers and you can also use your mind to manifest your thoughts so yeah we're alive. Andrea said "how do we travel back in time though?...our powers are drained". Jay blushed and said I know one way to power them" before pulling Andrea into a deep sensual kiss which Andrea immediately melted into.

After pulling away, they both felt more energized as Jay tore open a time portal to 15 minutes ago since he didn't have much power to spare and they couldn't risk meeting their past selves. Jay smiled and said "shall we?" and she grabbed his hand and they walked through the portal into the hallway of the palace where the three gods watched as Andrea and jay's power built up. They whistled from down the hall which didn't work, so Andrea shot a thin beam that got their attention. Maya said "what's going on? how are you here if you're in there? and Andrea threw Maya a serious look and said "come on" as they walked through the portal and found themselves back in the living room of the house a few moments after they had left that morning for the battle.

Andrea's mother looked confused and said "what's going on?" and Andrea said, "we are from an hour in the future, and Maya Maldor and Ariel are from 45 minutes in the future". Jay spoke up and said "after we destroyed the universe we came back 15 minutes to grab them before the explosion and then opened a portal here to an hour ago just after we left so that we can figure out how to rebuild the universe in the future". Andrea spoke up and said, "I didn't take us there because its an empty white void with nowhere to draw power from, so I had to bring us back here to prevent further contamination of the timeline that could alter anything okay". 

The family looked at each other ever more confused but Maya and Maldor understood. Andrea looked at her mom and said "don't try to understand temporal mechanics because you can't". Andrea turned to the gods and said "we have 1 hour before the sun in this solar system goes out while me and jay are harnessing the power to reset the universe so we have to have a plan by then".
