It was a highly a chilly morning, Steve had gotten up early, so did I. Last game last basketball meet. Billy didn't go over to Tommy like he normally does. He sat next to me putting his shoes on. I was reading a book as he said. "So, whatcha doing tonight?"

"Hopefully not working on my homework for the next six years." I've missed so much that I'm trying to get all caught up. Kelsey came around the corner with a smile on her face.

"Look at the slut, stealing my boyfriend. What Anthony wasn't enough?"

"Nock it off Kelsey." Billy said.

"Billy." I muttered.

"Billy.. come on honey I'm only calling it like I see it."

Billy stood up. "And you know what? I'm calling like I see it too. If you want to body shame or call someone named that you don't know... Then look in the mirror yourself." He then looked at me. "I'm sorry that us losers don't know anything about you other than what Tommy has told them." Took my bag as we left the gym.

"You didn't have to do that."

"Yeah... Yeah I did. I'm sick how they are treating you. Will you please tell who Anthony is when I take you home?"

"Yes." There isn't much to tell then he was a lair.

After that things to me didn't feel normal nor right. I don't know why. I sat in sadness while be quite. I don't feel sad nod do I want to be sad. It's like I'm under a spell and I cannot get out of it. During lunch I just couldn't bring myself to eat. Johnathan didn't show up to school along with Nancy. Because I don't think Steve is ready to move on. He seems much happier with Laurie.

It's like I'm the slow one and everyone else is so fast that I can't keep up. Steve sat down with me. "What happened?" Sitting across from me as he took a bite from he fries.

"Nothing oddly. Like there something wrong with me... I'm not sick."

Steve was quiet for a bit and then he said. "I think you might be having your period." He whispered.

Well that makes sense. Ugh. Billy comes over as I whispered back. "Why but that doesn't explain why I don't want to eat. That does the exact opposite."

"You're not eating?" Billy asked. "Why not?" As he sat next time me.

"I just don't feel like it Billy. And before you ask if it was because of this morning, it wasn't."

Billy felt my forehead. "You are warm."

"I'll be fine. I bet it's because I just kept tossing in bed last night."

Billy wasn't buying it but I didn't want to talk about it any longer, Laurie sat with us as she introduced herself to Billy. "Nice to meet you Laurie. Mayflower, I'm not buying it. We'll talk on the drive home." He got up and left to get ready for his next class that he was failing in, it was the only class.

"What did he do?" Steve asked.

"He stood up for me... Shocking? Yes. But I don't want more fights since he stood up for me. You know how Tommy is."

"I can't believe I was ever friends with that guy." Shaking his head. "But you need to eat. Mrs. Mandy wouldn't like it if you past out in her class."

"Ugh I don't like that woman and I know she doesn't like me as well." Going to class as I took a granola bar. Eating it just before class and everyone could see me eat, I took about three bites and then I was done!

The clock was ever so slow, the bell rings three minutes late. I go to my locker to gather my things. Kelsey on the right of me slams my locker, she just missed my fingers by an inch. "Y'know Billy is only being kind to you because he feels sorry for you, no mom and no dad, all on your own. No one can ever love you."

"And your mom should had swallowed you." The other girl said.

I turned to her. "So let me guess you are paying him like you did with Anthony?" If this is so, I mean if, whoever is out there take me now.

"Oh yes!" She giggled. "Not to surprise you are anything, he'll take you home or so you think drops you off and leaves you there."

"Thanks for the heads up." I picked up my bag as I walked outside. Kelsey followed me to Billy's car. I didn't get in.

Billy looked angry and shocked that I didn't say anything to him. I looked hurt badly. When Kelsey stands next to him, he started to argue.
