"Just look at them. It's like they were born to be popular." The girl said, looking over at the lunch table.

"I just wanted him but he's so focused on his career. Such a damn shame." The other girl said, shaking her head as she ate a fry.

"It's only the first day of school. Everyone is already looking at them and they barely care." The first girl frowned, sipping on her water.

"That's fine. That girl right there? She's only famous because her mom is an actor. The other girls actually made something of themselves." She rolled her eyes, glaring at one of the girls.

"Yeah, I heard about that. Besides, what kind of famous singer goes to school in person? Probably because her music is trashy as fuck." One of them laughed, her gaze drifting over to her friend.

They just shook their heads as they stared at the table. Looking at the people who occupied it.

On one side sat Kayden Nills. He was the co-captain of the basketball team and had been playing basketbal since he could walk. He was brownskin and had a full head of curls that were worn in twists. His mother was a famous actor and his father was a retired NFL player.

Beside him sat the other co-captain, Jace West. He was also brownskin and had the nicest smile out of the entire group, showing off his braces. He had his arm around the girl sitting beside him, holding her hand.

The girl beside him was Diara Rivers. She was a popular influencer since she was in 8th grade. She wanted to follow in her moms footsteps but didn't want to get into modeling. Funny thing is, she looked a lot like her dad, sharing his green eyes.

Across from her sat her twin sister, Acacia Rivers. Acacia was the friend in the group who was always trying to get someone to dance with her. She had a dance group outside of school and was always practicing with them. She was a daddy's girl at heart but looked most like her mother.

Beside her sat Brisa Cole. She had known the girls since she was around 4 years old. She was always at one of their houses because her mom died when she gave birth to her and her dad wasn't really around as he blamed her for it. She didn't really have a big career already but she loved doing hair. She considered it her side hustle. Everyone could tell she had a small crush on Kayden as did he but neither of them acted on it.

And beside her was her best friend Melody Nills. Melody was the biggest daddy's girl at the table along with Acacia. She was Kayden's little sister but they were considered irish twins as they were in the same grade together. She had started her career when she was in 7th grade when she first became a singer. Singing had always been her passion as it helped her grow out of her stutter when she was younger. Now, she was highly known and had two multi-platinum albums.

Lastly, beside her was Jaxon West. He was Jace's twin brother but Jace was older. He had begun his singing career when he was younger as well. He loved rapping and used to post his freestyles on Instagram until he got recognized by a label. Now, he had one multi-platinum album and one platinum album.

That was the whole group. Most people tried to become friends with them but they didn't really allow new people in their group. It was always for clout and they realized a lot sooner that they were fine with just having each other.

Now, for the story to actually begin.
