It had been a few days after I had my talk with momma and I was feeling better. Much better.
I opened up to the group about what happened and they understood why I had been so distant.
Jaxon also understood why I wasn't able to do that one scene of the video so he talked Alia into changing it and we filmed something else for it.
Today I was gonna start eating lunch with them again. I had still been hanging out with Melani and I finally talked her into eating with me and the rest of the group.
"What if your friends don't like me?" Melani asked and I turned to her.
We had gone off campus during third period to grab lunch as I had offered it to the group and we were on the way back.
"Just as long as you not trying to get to know me or them for any ulterior motive you gone be good. And don't try to get with nobody because they too old for you or they already boo'd up." I told her and she nodded.
"No, I just genuinely like being your friend. And don't worry I already got me a lil yeah." She smiled and I turned to her.
"Girl, who?" I snapped my head towards her and she smiled.
"My boy bestie. We been talking." She blushed, shuffling the food bags in her lap as I pulled into the school parking lot.
"Be for real." I laughed, finding my parking spot. "Y'all kissed?"
"Yeah, he was my first." She shyly responded and I grinned.
"Girl, I- Bring yo lil ass on." I said, turning the car off and getting out as I heard her laugh.
I walked to her side and grabbed the two bags of food as we headed inside the school. We walked to the cafeteria and I looked around and saw the group at our usual table.
I walked over and Melani was slowly walking behind me, holding both drinks trays. I had also bought her food and I was carrying the bag for her because she just wanted fries.
"Hey, guys." I softly smiled, placing the bags of food down.
Melani slowly put the drink trays down and played with her nails, looking everywhere but at them.
"You not gone talk?" Jace asked and she perked up a little bit, looking at all of them.
"Guys, this is my friend Melani. Be nice, she only a sophomore and she new here." I introduced her and she waved at everyone.
"Hey, girl. You're really pretty." Brisa smiled as I sat down and Melani sat down across from her.
"Thank you. So are all of you guys." She smiled, pushing up her glasses.
Now, this girl know she not that shy.
"Lani, this is Brisa my best friend. Beside her is my brother Kayden and beside him is Jaxon but you already know him. Across him is Jace, beside him is his girlfriend/my cousin Diara and beside her is her twin sister Acacia. You'll learn to tell them apart because Di never leave that boy side." I told her and she laughed.
