55 - misunderstanding

"What the fuck is this Melody?" Momma yelled, tossing her phone in my lap before pacing back and forth.

I literally had been sitting in momma's room since I got here and they took everything. My car keys, my phone, my card and all that shit.

I ain't never seen my momma or my dad this mad before.

I picked up her phone and tried to refrain from rolling my eyes as I saw that it was the same shaderoom post but I finally got a better look at it.

I just knew someone was going to do something when I walked into cvs.

I tried to prepare myself to look through the comments but momma took her phone back before I could.

"So, what the fuck is that?" She asked, putting a hand on her hip as she put her phone in her pocket.

"Momma, that wasn't for me. I'm not pregnant- I promise." I told her, hoping she would believe me.

"Then, why were you buying a pregnancy test, Melody? 4 of them at that." She asked, the glare still present on her face.

"It was for someone else, momma. I'm not sleeping with anyone, I swear." I tried to explain.

"Who was it for?" Daddy asked and I bit my lip.

I didn't want to lie to my parents but I really didn't want to spill Lala's secret. She would be in more trouble than me when she's the one who had a pregnancy scare.

I just looked at them, indicating that I wasn't going to say anything. They both sighed and momma paced a little before looking at me.

"Just- go to your room right now, Melody. I'm really trying not to yell but I'm pissed off." She said and I nodded, slowly standing up as daddy opened the door.

I walked over to the door and walked out, hearing the door shut behind me.

As I was walking down the hall to my room, I bumped into Kayden and Brisa.

"You in big trouble." Kayden said and him and Brisa gave me a look that I couldn't really figure out.

"Y'all don't believe that I'm pregnant, right?" I frowned, fidgeting with the rings on my fingers.

Kayden just looked at me and by that look I just knew he didn't believe me.

"What you did to Jax is really fucked up. How y'all been kicking it for weeks and you got a whole ass side nigga." He shook his head, not letting me answer as he walked off to his room.

"Bri, you at least believe me right?" I asked and she gave me a blank stare as I felt tears start to cloud my vision.

"I really thought we was best friends, Mel. You seeing a whole other nigga and didn't think to tell at least me of all people? You ain't even say nothing to me and you having a whole pregnancy scare. And Kayden's right- you did Jax real bad. If I was him, I wouldn't forgive you."
