I grabbed my bag off of the belt thing and started walking off towards the starbucks in the mall.
My uncle Vince was about 10 minutes away and that's probably how long it would take for me to get through this line.
I ordered my coffee and waited to the side, texting all my parents that I had gotten off the plane safely.
I was going to call both of my moms later when I got settled in as they were both asking me to before I left. I had went to go see my mom in the hospital before I left and for some reason she was up even though I came at 3 in the morning.
I heard my name being called so I went and got my drink just as my uncle texted me that he was outside.
I stuffed my phone in the pocket of my hoodie before grabbing my suitcase and starting towards the door.
I walked outside and looked around for the car he had mentioned. I finally spotted him and started walking that way towards the car where he was standing.
"Hey, Mel." He smiled, pulling me into a hug as I reached the car.
"Hey, Uncle Vince." I smiled back, pulling away from the hug slowly.
He grabbed my suitcase and placed it in the trunk and I was waiting patiently when all of a sudden, someone attacked me with a hug and I almost fell.
"Cousin!" I heard a girl say as I was still shocked because where the hell did she come from?
"Lay, get off of her." My uncle Vince said as he closed the trunk.
"Sorry, I've just been real excited to meet you." She smiled, pulling away and I scratched my head as I smiled back.
"Hey." I waved at her as she grinned.
"I'm Laysia, but you can call me Momo. That's what everyone else call me except my momma." She rolled her eyes as she told me her name.
"Y'all get in the car for yo momma throw a damn fit. She just want some damn bojangles." Uncle Vince rolled his eyes and we laughed, going to the door.
Laysia got in before me and I climbed into the seat behind the passenger before uncle Vince started to drive off.
I turned and saw three other boys sitting in the backseat. Well, two were in the back and Laysia was in the middle while one was beside me.
I looked closer and noticed that...Kj? was here too.
"What you doing here?" I asked him, scrunching my face up.
"This my uncle. What you doing here?" Kj asked, scrunching his face up.
"This my uncle." I answered him as we both just stared at each other.
"Is this yo girl that you won't let us see?" One of the boys in the back asked and I turned my head and mugged him so fast.
