"You seen Kayden?" Jace asked me as I came and sat down at the lunch table.
"Nah, not since this morning." I answered, looking up from my phone.
"Coach wanna see him. That nigga finna get benched for the rest of the season if he keep missing practice." Jace shook his head, putting his arm around Diara before pulling out his phone.
Suddenly, someone pulled out the chair beside me and I realized it was Kayden.
He didn't even say anything he just put his hood on and laid his head on his arms on the table.
"Kayden." Jace called out and he didn't respond for a minute.
"Hm?" He hummed, not lifting his head up or anything.
"Coach wanna speak to you." Jace told him and he sighed and lifted his head up.
"Tell him I'm sick or some shit." Kayden shrugged, rubbing his eyes.
"Kayden, you needa go talk to him. You finna get kicked off the team nigga." He explained to him and Kayden just kept a straight face.
That's how you knew it was something wrong with that nigga because Kayden and Jace loved basketball and now he barely care about possibly getting kicked off the team?
"It's whatever. But I'll talk to him." He said and Jace nodded.
Just then some girl walked up to our table looking all happy and smiley. She walked up to Kayden and as he looked up at her she put her hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, Kayden." She waved and he just stared at her as he pushed her hand off of his shoulder.
He just ignored her and she looked embarrassed as we all just stared at her.
"Anyways, I heard you broke up with your girlfriend. Does that mean your available now?" She grinned, twirling her hair.
We all scrunched up our faces as she brought that up. That girl so fucking dumb because it's obvious that nigga still fucked up about it.
Truth be told, our friend group was not what it used to be no more.
After the whole Melody incident, nobody but Kayden fuck with Brisa because she was messed up for that shit.
Acacia always with her boyfriend so basically it was just me and the guys plus Diara hanging out all the time since Melody was still gone.
"No, I'm not available the fuck? Get the fuck away from me before I get my girl to beat yo ass." Kayden spat at her as she blushed in embarrassed.
Can't stand girls like that. Leave a nigga alone, damn.
She walked off in embarrassment and we all laughed as Kayden rolled his eyes. He turned back to the table with a mug on his face.
