"Stop moving so much, Melody. Damn." I frowned, pushing her back down.
"I got it." She huffed, laying her head back on her pillows.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, putting my head on her chest. Her phone had started ringing so she had reached over to grab it.
She put her fingers back on my scalp, rubbing it with her fingertips. I felt myself falling asleep until I heard her laugh.
"Ain't nothing funny." I mumbled, scooting closer to her.
"Mel, who you with?" I heard Brisa ask over her phone.
"Who you think? This big ass baby." She laughed and I put my head up and mugged her. "Lay your head back down, damn."
She calling me a baby like she didn't start rubbing my scalp knowing how that makes me sleepy.
"Ima add Lala to the facetime. She said she wanna ask us something." Acacia said.
I picked up her controller off the nightstand and turned on her playstation. I turned on the game and started playing as Mel talked on the phone.
"Guys, there's this block party going on tomorrow. Y'all wanna go?" I heard and immediately paused the game.
I turned and looked at Melody and she was smiling at her phone. She pushed her glasses up before responding.
"Yes, we should go. I've been in need of a good ass block party." She grinned and I scrunched my face up.
"Nah, sorry y'all. Melody can't go." I told the group and they sucked their teeth.
"Jace gone beat my ass. Ima sit this one out." Diara made the yikes face and Acacia and Brisa was left.
"I don't got nobody who gone stop me from going so I'm down." Bri shrugged and I laughed.
"Kayden finna be on her ass." I mumbled and Melody mushed my head.
"I wanna go too. I'm tired of being in the same house as Di and her nasty ass boyfriend all the time." Acacia said and they laughed.
I unpaused the game and Melody moved her hand from rubbing my scalp to rubbing my chest.
This girl know how to put me to sleep for real.
"Jaxon."
"Jax."
"Stop ignoring me, Marcel." She said and I furrowed my brows.
"You acting fed, bruh." I said and she hit my chest.
"Answer me next time, then." She told me and I just nodded.
You ain't never gone catch me arguing with her.
"I'm hungry." Melody said and I paused the game.
"Okay..." I trailed off, putting the controller down and grabbing my phone.
