I was on the way to Lani's house as I did tell her that I would go see her and her aunt today.
She texted me that her aunt seemed anxious so I was wondering why she wanted to see me.
I picked my phone up out of my lap as I stopped at a red light, seeing a few Instagram notifications. I don't know, today just felt like a good day to post.

I texted Lani that I was about to pull up as I turned into her neighborhood.
I drove a little bit until I was in front of her house. I recognized her aunts car in the driveway along with another car I didn't really recognize.
I parked in front of the yard so I didn't block anyone in the driveway and got out, locking my car behind me.
I walked up to the front door, my phone and keys in my hand, and knocked. I stepped back, waiting for her or her aunt to come open the door.
Suddenly, the door opened and I smiled as I seen Lani's aunt staring at me.
She looked a little stressed as she stepped back and motioned for me to come in.
"Hey, Melody. Thank you for coming." She said, closing the door behind me and wrapping her sweater tighter around her.
"It's no problem. Are you okay?" I asked as I saw eye bags heavily present on her face from a lack of sleep.
"I'm fine. Come sit." She led me to the living room.
