I stare in alarm and look around me. No one else stepped up to talk him down, but I did.

Slowly, I move up a stair towards him, my hand extended.

"Why don't we think this through?", I offer,. but he did'nt listen and it was too late. The deed was done.

I take that step back down in shock as it passes between Echo and I.  When I turn back to him, I see the realization in his eyes.

His eyes became lighter as the anger fled away, replaced by regret. He shakes his head and blinks wildly at the lightsabers still in hand. "I...I should'nt have done that."

I leave Echo's side and carefully ascend up the short 3 stairs to him. My eyes drop down to Dooku's hilt which I cautiously slip from his clenched hand.

He allows me to, and turns to me; a expression I could'nt read at the time because it was one not given to me a lot:

Trust.

"Quickly! We must get off the ship before they find us!", Palpatine cuts in and I turn from Anakin.

"Who else am I looking forward to meeting on this ship, Chanceller?", I spit.

He looks offended for a split second before the doors to the room bust off and skid across the floor to us.

Through the smoke steps a tall mechanical figure followed by his best henchmen: Grievous.

His sickly yellow eyes narrow. "Anakin Skywalker", he rasps.

"Well liked I see", I mutter. He shot me a glare before turning back.

They open fire as Grievous ignites all 4 lightsabers and swings them wildly. Anakin, Echo and I team up as Palpatine ducks behind us for protection.

"Get Obi-Wan! We'll hold them off!", I yell to him.

He nods once and jumps across the room to the unconscious Obi-Wan that lay on the floor.

Heaving him over his shoulder, he runs for the elevator with Palpatine in toe.

"R2, activate the elevator!", he all but begs into his translator.

I continue blocking blasts as Echo and I back our way to the doors of the elevator. One shot goes to Echo's left shoulder and he cries out in pain as he falls.

I grit my teeth and run forward, throwing my blade to the floor slicing the unsuspecting droid straight down the middle, then use it to jump off of into the crowd of them.

When I land in the center, I stand and deliver one hard swing and two go down. Spinning and tucking my saber around my body and under my arm , I block blasts from hitting me in the back.

4 more go down by their own fire.

I turn with the spin and follow through with a slanted cut as the elevator door opens.

Palpatine starts to rush in and almost fall but Anakin grabs the back of his robes to stop him. He then picks Echo up by his good shoulder and turns to me.

"You coming or what?!", he yells.

I close my eyes in concentration, take a deep breath, then release another scream wave.

Everything blew away from me and the the walls and ceiling. Grievous flew across the room and crashed into the control panels.

I start to run to the elevator doors as quick as possibly, sliding in to avoid another blast from an eager droid nearby, but the ship tilts forward harshly. Threatening to throw us into his arms basically.

I pull myself back inside and stand hesitantly. I stared down the elevator shaft as if it were a long hallway that never ended. Regardless, Anakin and Palpatine take off running, so Echo and I joined and we followed the tracks.

They must have switched the stabilizers back on because right then the ship starts to turn right side up.

"Oh sh-", was all that came out of Echo's mouth as he's swept off his feet and slides down the railing at max speed.

One by one, it happens to us all and before I knew it we were falling into darkness.

I frantically searched the wall and sensed for anything to grab that might be available.

One handed, Anakin grabs a cord in a divit and latches on, Palpatine clinging for dear life to his leg.

Grabbing onto the rail itself, I slow down and come to an abrupt stop below them. Echo continued falling from above us until he got close enough and I grabbed his jumpsuit.

"...I'm really tired of getting into situations like this, Commander", he states.

"I know how you feel!", I grit back and struggle to hold on.

I hear Obi-Wan scream in fear, and look up to see he was awake now, clinging to Anakin for dear life as well.

"Were in a bit of a situation", Anakin said.

"That's an understatement", Obi-Wan scoffs back.

"What is that?!", Echo yells up. I crane my neck up to see what he was talking about and my pupils shrunk in panic. The elevator was coming right for us.

"R2! Deactivate! DEACTIVATE!!", Anakin yells into his hockey puck.

"Too late!", Obi-Wan winces.

"We're all gunna fucking die-"

"No, we are not!", I cut Echo off.

"Jump!"

We all let go of what we were holding and plunged into the darkness some more.

I hear a series of clicks and before I knew it, someone grabbed me to them and we all swung into a open elevator door.

The light was blinding as we tumbled into the room. My back hit the floor and I groaned, immediately sitting up. As I did, the elevator went screaming by, then descended.  I turned back to stand and my eyes found those dark blue ones across the room from me.

They fell shut as he nodded to himself and stood. The rest of us slowly got to our feet.

We had'nt even take a step before a wave of hazy white clouds of smoke began to swirl around our group. Ray shields. They got us.

"Wha-how did this happen? Were smarter than this?", Obi-Wan shook his head.

"I guess not", Echo said, sitting on the floor.

"Patience. R2 will be along shortly, and he'll, deactivate the ray shields", Anakin nodded, trying more to convince himself.

Not a second later, R2 rushed into the hallway screaming and ran straight into a wall. Several droids followed him with guns drawn. Then more filed into the hallway to surround us.

One of them went to grab at him and he ended up shocking the battle droid, so he kicked R2 over. My eyebrow furrowed in anger and I made a mental note to destroy that one nice and slow.

"Do you have a plan B?", Obi-Wan asked Anakin.

Anakin looked down in thought, then crossed his arms and rubbed his chin.

"Rescue, Anakin-not mayhem", Obi-Wan answered.

General Grievous made his way to the frontline and released a congested laugh."This could'nt be any better. I'm looking forward to adding your lightsabers to my collection...and your life to my list of tragedies, Princess."

I step around Obi-Wan in challenge and tilt my head to look down my nose at him.

Anakin swiped his lip with his index and thumb before tapping his nose.

"No, no, no-there are far too many for that", Obi-Wan shakes his head and Anakin's shoulders slump in disappointment.

"I don't think right now is not the best time to argue", I raise my eyebrows, looking around. If we teamed up and did'nt stop, I felt our chances were in good favor.

"Might I suggest"- Obi-Wan said, twirling one side of his mustache.

"Too many", Anakin shakes his head.

"Enough! Get them!", Grievous interrupts.
