Destruction of the Innocent (Anakin Skywalker)

Debrief

The cruiser lands on the tarmac and the ramp falls in front of me. Scanning across the way, I noticed a Naboo Royal cruiser. I scrunch my eyebrows in curiosity as to why the Queen would be here, and why this attack would be over any interest to her.

But as the ramp fell, I realized it was'nt Queen Amidala-but the chancellor. He walked off the platform with several guards nearby  as he walked into the temple. A chill runs down my spine from the faint scent of fire that rolled off of him in the wind.

 Now I was extremely curious as to why he was here. 

I did'nt trust him as far as I could throw him.

I lick my teeth as Echo returns from the main controls. He nods to me and stuffs his hankercheif in his back pocket.

"I can't promise to be here when your done. I've got a couple engines I have to work on back at the ship", he shrugs. I nod in understanding.

" I can get another transport back home", I nod."Thank you, again, Echo."

"Anytime", he winks."Good luck."

 He walks back into controls as I sigh at the giant building before me and walk down the ramp.

I make my way up the steps of the Temple. The tall pillars on either side of me stretched up to the sky. Two clone guards step aside at my presence and I nod a thanks you as I head for the elevator. I press the button and step back to wait.

A group of armored soldiers far taller than the clones walk through the lobby. I double take as they caught my attention. I stop swinging my arms and step back.

"Spartan!", I called. 

All 7 feet of green Mjolnir armor turns to me and greets me with a nod.

"Your Highness", he adresses me .

"Chief! Did'nt expect to see you around here", I scoff, throwing my hands on my hips.

"We got word of a threat", he said."I heard about the attack on Ilum last night. Are you alright?"

"Got all my digits and limbs as far as I know, and I'm still breathing, so, I call that a win", I answered, raising my eyebrows."You asked to come all the way out here?"

"Asking not my strong suit",he retorts.

"Never was", I laughed.

       The elevator dings behind me and the door slides open. A few Jedi and personal flood out and scatter at the sight of him standing besides me.

"That's me. I'll catch up with you later, Chief", I call over my shoulder as I step in.

"It was nice seeing you again, Princess", he nods, saluting me.

"Likewise, John", I wink."You guys be safe out there."

The door closes in front of me, leaving me with my thoughts.

Chief and I have known each other since we were children and have grown up besides each other in a lot of the same training,

If he's here, then I know this must be a lot worse than I thought. He operates as a super soldier for the ring. There's been threats against them there as well in the past few months, It seems someone is working hard to take us all out in one fell swoop.

   My eyes fall shut as the elevator whirs up to level 35. I wrap my arms around myself  and  exhale deeply, mentally preparing how I was about to explain this to the council.
