It wasn't that Kageyama's team necessarily sucked ass.. but they sucked ass. While he didn't want to admit it, a lot of it was because of Kageyama.

Since middle school, it's safe to say that Kageyama had cooled down quite a bit considering the past events that still haunt him. However, he'll still lash out at his teammates from time to time. Afterward, he can't help but feel sick. 'it's middle school all over again.'

The team was far too lenient with him, giving him minimal punishments for lashing out. He was happy though, at least he wouldn't get kicked off the team. Sugawara, the teams' official setter, seemed to be more interested in Kageyama than comfort. He always asked how he was able to be so precise with his setting, getting the ball right where it needs to be when it needs to be there. He never once mentioned his outbursts, which Kageyama was grateful for, but the conversation is bound to come up sooner or later. Sugawara is like the team's official dad, he has all the requirements to be a great parents figure when he grows up. 'He should defiantly work with kids when he gets older. Give those children a great start to their lives.'

One thing Kageyama didn't like about Sugawara however, is how easily he was able to read Kageyama. Or perhaps everyone could read him, he was an open book, but Sugawara was the only person on the team that would actually come up and ask what was wrong. This would be one of those times Sugawara comes up to Kageyma to ask what's bothering him. And now Kageyamas having an internal conflict as to how to explain to his upperclassmen that a guy he met a few days ago at the cafe he works for has come to watch him play. Which of course, makes him look even more conflicted than before.

"Something wrong Kageyama? I know playing against your old upperclassman can be hard, but it's okay. We'll help support you," He says with a smile.

"Thanks," Kageyama says, before turning away and continuing his warm-up before the game.

He couldn't see Shouyou in the seats above, but somehow, he knew that the boy was there.

He said he'd come after all.
