It wasn't until Kageyama was in the hallways walking to the bus with his team that he finally saw Shouyou. Stepping out of line, he walked over to the smaller ginger.
"Shouldn't you be heading to the bus?"
"I have time."
"Oh, okay."
There was a small pause before Shouyou spoke again. Kageyama was used to these awkward pauses between the two of them. He waited patiently before Shouyou continues the conversation.
"You did a good job. You always got the ball to your teammates. That was cool," Shouyou said, scratching at the back of his neck.
"Yeah, well I've been playing since before I can remember. I guess it's just second nature at this point," Kageyama explained.
"Then you must really like the sport."
"I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't."
A call from Tanaka, one of Kageyama's teammates, broke the new silence that was about to emerge from their conversation once again.
"Thanks for coming," Kageyama said, before walking away.
Shouyou nodded and with that, Kageyama had left.

"You're friends with Hinata?"
Yamaguchi had come over to sit next to Kageyama after he got on the school bus.
"Who?"
"Hinata. Small guy, orange hair, doesn't really talk."
"Shouyou?"
Yamaguchi paused before biting his lip in an attempt to think.
"Oh, yeah. He's in my English class. Teachers call him Hinata so I'm assuming that'd be his last name. How close are you guys that you're on a first-name basis?"
In merely five seconds, you could see Kageyama's face go from its normally stern expression to beat red.
"First name?" He asked, mouth half-open.
"Well yeah. It'd be weird for teachers to not use formalities when not talking to their students. Are you saying he just told you his first name and not his last?"
"I think so," Kageyama began to calm down, but the blush on his face was still evident.
"Y'know it's kind of surprising. I don't think I've ever even seen him talk before but there you are having a full-fledged conversation with him," Yamaguchi said, waving his hands around to exaggerate his words.
"Well yeah, er, no. Maybe?" Kageyama sputtered. "It's like he has good days than bad days. One day he'll be completely open to having a conversation but in others, he won't even open his mouth. It's fine though, I think I'm more awkward engaging in a two-sided conversation rather than one-sided," He admitted.
"Nice to know you have a friend outside of volleyball now Kageyama," Yamaguchi pat Kageyama on the back. "I'm gonna go sit with Tsukki now, bye!" Yamaguchi got up before heading to the seat beside Tsukishima, leaving Kageyama to think for himself.
'Hinata Shouyou'
The boy with two names.
